I'm sure most of you remeber whent he highscores went from top 500,000 to top 1,000,000 to make sure people who hit the minimum 30 get ranked. Well I was browsing the scores earlier today and noticed several skills had rank 1,000,000 with levels of 50+. This is especial true for the combat skills but popular skils like smithing, fishing etc all have high entry levels.
Do you think jagex will increase the amount in the scores again to cope with this? Or are the highscores gonna continue to get harder to get into for new players?

Yeah it could be in the cards...
I think Jagex realised that people love to be in competition so it may be a good hook for new players if they can see where they stand compaired to everyone else.

Hmmm...They might add more...I don't think they will though unless the lower high scores become ridiculously high.

Yeah, if more people start getting close to maxing out they might have to expand them. Well at least a tiny bit.

all the skills like woddcut fletch mining smithing you need to be really high to get on.
but why would you want to get on the highscores if they updated it...

i know when i was like lvl 40, being on the highscores, even if it wasn't the best rank,was a goal of mine.
now with the lvls being 50+, probably most new players or current average players will not care about being ranked in the highscores. so yes i think that they will raise the level. a better idea would just be to have a slot that says enter name here and it will shoe the ranking of the name you entered out of how many accounts there are in the game. not just the top 1 million players. then again, if you train like crazy and max out all your skills, then you would have nothing to worry about.

I don't think they'll raise the high scors, its more of a callenge this way
and you can still get on with lvl 30
I have 30 construction and I think I'm ranked 150,000

Some people make goals just to get every skill to show in the highscores; no matter the rank it may be. Then they start making goals of higher levels; some making those goals to get to a certain rank.

Dont think they should expand it, unless the spot 999999 has level 70-ish... then again, it will start to get challanging to get in the 1m, something worthwhile...

what levels were people last time they changed it?
i guess if they cahnge it they should fix some of the (MANY) bugs they have in the hiscores; and possibly make it possible so f2p can have their own? lol

Yea, the strength highscores are crazy, you need to be about 58 strenght just to be 1m ranked And most impures characters aren't 58+ strength until about lvl 60 or so combat 
I reckon they should raise the amount, because when runecrafting came out i made it one of my goals to get it on the highscores
And that was a nice easy goal of about 28... After that i decided to get 30, then 40, so I reckon that having the goal to get your stats on highscores is good because it encourages people to then make larger goals

well, i at least found that when I couldn't get on to a highscore (back when i was more of a nub), it was a goal to get a skill on the highscores, so i at least dont find this a problem
