Okay, so, I upgraded to Vista about a week ago, and it's not serving me so well. It's really laggy with EVERYTHING I do. My current specs are:
Gigabyte Motherboard (GA-81865GME-775-RH)
1GB RAM
128MB
ASUS N6200 128MB(http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=2&l2=7&l3=140&model=484&modelmenu=1)
80GB HD
3.0GHz Pentium 4 Processor
Do you guys think I need to update my specs? I'm already using 44% memory and 9%-40% CPU usage typing this.
EDIT: I have pretty much $200 or so dollars to spend atm, and I'm 11 and don't have a job and obviously don't want to waste my money. I'm running Vista business upgrade atm, but I'm planning on buying Ultimate (long story)

512MB RAM
64MB Intell® 82845G Graphics Controller

2.8GHz Pentium 4 Processor
See those noob specs? Handles all the ---- I do no problem, I can play WoW while runnin wmp11/msn/firefox in the background.
I say get windows xp and use that instead.

Ram/Cpu.
With 200$, your best bet is to grab another gig of ram.
Your P4/mobo most likely only have a 533 front side buss, which is defiantly creating a 'choke point' in your computer. I really never recommend running vista with anything below an AMD Athlon 64 or Intel Pentium D CPU.
