Hey guys, I'm having this big project at school and we only get two days to finish it. We have been assigned to perform a 45 minute thing pretty much about the Geography, Culture and the people in the whole USA.

We are three persons in this group, which means 15 minutes each. And the moment they assigned us with this project, I thought it would be cool to just slice USA up in three parts (one part each).
When we had done this, each of us would tell the teacher(s) about the part we had, and after we were done we would compare all the three parts to each other to see which one has the best ground for planting things, which has the best climate, which has the highest mountain, etc. etc.

So, to my question. I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to slice USA into three parts, preferably North, Middle and South. If this would be possible, could you maybe show me a image of a map where these three parts are showing?

Thank you in advance,

hey zaico. i recommend that you split the united states into 3 sections as well, but not north south and middle, instead west central and east. that is where the climate differences, people differences, time differences, etc. are. i think that would definitely be the best way to split it. it might look weird, cause the other kids think that since they get more states, they get more work. lots of the states of america dont have a ton to offer, yet they do have say one or two VERY big things that keep the economy running, such as iowa with corn. here is how i think it should be split.

just make sure you dont get the east =P i think that may be a bit more work. i would personally take the west, because the climate differences between the north west and the southwest are really really different, and may be quite interesting once you study them some more.

good luck on your project mate. get an A for me =P

I don't know. I tried slicing it into 3 but I only got crooked things. sad.gif

Hmm, I will try that one. smile.gif

I took the middle, because I had planned to take the middle anyways if we had North/Middle/South. tongue.gif
Thanks for your help. wub.gif

Would it be possible to maybe tell me a little about what people lives where? Like in what parts do the kinda farmer-people, the ghetto people, the black/white people, native Indians or whatever and so on? That would be lovely.

Edit: Just showed the map to the guys on my group, they seem to like it. smile.gif

well, the ghetto people live mostly in the big cities, where there are housing developments (aka projects). Not as a stereotype, but in all honesty they usually live there. farmer people live in the mid-west, aka your part of the country. They produce a lot of corn in the mid-west. After slavery, black and white people live together, but in general, NOT AS A STEREOTYPE, black people tend to live in the poorer cities, or areas of the cities. Also, native indians tend to own big casinos, like mohegan sun, foxwoods, etc. They have given up their indian reservations, or a lot of them to start these casinos. Then once they become big and make lots of money, they buy more land for the tribe. America, is the melting pot of the world, especially in New York City. Whoever has the east side of the country should definitely put a lot about new york in their speech.

hope i helped. ill add some more later.

I'm an idiot. Catagorizing is easy.

Weather breaks. Climate fits well, so everything will be generally equal.(Generally North, umm... Northsouth and South.)
Natrual resorces in the area. Oil states go together, or like, coal and lumber states. This will be more focused around the economy. (Generally Northwestish, Northsouthish, and Southnorthbottomish.)
Population. This is a weird one, but it may have some random benifiets. (Northeastern, Northwestern, and like, Texas and surrounding.)

I really like Demisel92's. It's generally good, but then again, the weather patterns are diffrent, plus Alaska and Hawaii should be with northern.

Even weirder, Divide the states into three parts in alphabetical order! 16 each, and two will have 2. Yay for being a challenge!

ToTheMax, stop spamming to get your post count up...

I made this post in January. Normally projects like this doesn't last that long. Have some common sense.
