In gaseous reactions, an increase in pressure favours the reaction which produces the least number of Molecules.
but WHY? i can't figure it out and its really annoying me...anyone got any ideas?
thanks guys,

I dunno, I'm thinking its because the less molecules, the less reaction. With too much pressure and too many molecules, it go BOOM!

i agree with ed the less molecules there is a smaller reaction but with many molecules and a high pressure the molecuse will be compressed which will reasult in a bang. if it helps think of an air horn the molecules in there are compessed which results in a noise
