The key your supposed to get when you search the chest, i cannot get, ive searched like 8 times, talked to the proffessor like 6 times and his assistant like 8. And ive tried opening the gate then going back to search the key, but still says "the chest is empty".
Anyone help?

Ahhh... u too? if anyone knows why this is happening please help! i hate having unfinished quests... i did this quest earlier with a mate, he got the key but i have tried everything possibe but no luck, we did everything the same so dont know whats going on?
as I recall, there's a goblin gaurd (lvl42) down there that drops a key to a cell

I completed the quest! I found the key in a different chest to the one where it is supposed to be! looking at the map on a questhelp site it lists the key as being in the chest bottom south east, looking above that map it shows two chests above containing poisonous spiders, thats where i found my key, i suggest u take anti poison and just check the other chests, u should find it i just wish the guides had said it may be in another chest, maybe its cause i did it with a mate.... let me know how u get on!
