ok so im going to become a p2p ancient ranger

the only problem is i wana own seriously....i wana make mucho cashola from it.. the problem is currently ive been getting owned by str pures and called a safer when i eat. i dont get it can u tell me what to do wiht mt stats please?

Not really understansting...

It's unlikely that you'll make much money doing this. Most of the time, you'll be facing pures with the same goal that you have. They'll be dressed to minimize cost, so the loot you get won't be that good. Many will try to run away if you almost have them beat, so it will be hard to get any actual kills.

If you are fighting these STR pures toe-to-toe, you will lose because you have no defense. You need to bind or ensnare them and rain arrows/blasts on their heads from a distance. It's a bit harder to do in F2P but it's good practice. You might have to wait until you get membership and ancients before you start having success with this hybrid.

Right now I can see something that you could become if you ever get members. You could become a Tank pure. If you haven't heard of this, they have high magic (sometimes, but normally recommend for wild), high range, high defense, low attack and strength, and decent prayer. I'll give you an example of what I'm talking about. This is some of my friend's stats who is a Tank.

He has 70 attack (for whip), around 60 strength I believe, 81 defense, 71 magic, 52 prayer (he probably won't raise it any higher, not sure), and 85 range. I won't give out his name but he is a member on this forum.

If he went pking, he would probably first off raise magic higher, range higher, and defense higher. He has the *maximum* attack to be able to carry a whip so he can hit high if he gets into close combat, he has high defense in case he is in close combat, this will insure him that he won't get hit as much, he has high magic and range because this is how Tanks fight. Tanks fight with high range and magic and will normally get good kills. He has decent prayer in case for close combat or if he wants to boost his range or magic up some. The reason why he has low strength is because most Tanks try not to end up in close combat, so they keep their strength low so they will have a lower combat level.

Here is a scenario of a fight:

A Tank uses ancients to freeze a person from moving. He then starts to range him with a magic short bow with rune arrows so he can hit high and fast. He will probably freeze his enemy again for a good hit and so the enemy cannot move again, and he will probably range him to death or freeze him to death. Also, if he doesn't range or freeze him to death, he may come into close combat and use a dragon special to kill him fast or use a whip for the kill.

To be honest, I think Tanks are the best bet to go for the wilderness. I believe I Mahatma I is a Tank, and he is a well known pker. He does a lot of close combat too although he has a low strength level, but he also ranges and mages. He is really good and you should look him up on Youtube and watch his videos and learn what he does.

Anyways, I hope this somewhat helps. I know Tanks aren't that freat in F2P, but they are extremely good in P2P.

No, it's just one of the options you can consider. Personally, if I could, I would be a tank. Here are some other lists of pures you can consider.

Rune pure - 40 defense, high attack and strength
Dragon pure - 60 defense, high attack and strength
Range pure - high range and possibly high defense
Mage pure - just high magic
Regular pure - 1 defense to 20 with high strength and attack
and there is probably more than this.

dude to pk in p2p in range/mage ur going to need at least 85 range
Do you have that much money?
ancients, I know you might be aware of this but.
I would say the quest itself is the easy bit and It's getting up to it is the hard bit(stats, other quests that need other quests that need these certain stats, which you need to be a high enough combat lvl to kill this monster in a quest which you need...)
Are you really going to go that far with your pure?

And no you cannot make cash with pking, you just can't.
but for your stats, just get range and mage as high as possible really
and get pray to at least 44.

keep 20 att or 40 att(id stay at 20 since all youd lose is a mith weapon(s) and most of the people you will fight are 1 def anyway)
get 80+ str
and 85+range
and you should be quite unstoppable.

Just so you know, I Mahatma I is a black pure. Or was, he might be a rune pure by now. I know he was one of the best black pures around, with 92 att/99 str/95 hits long before Pest control.

Anyway, I tend to tank a lot (99 range, 92 hits, 86 def, 85 mage, 73 att/str, 70 prayer) and I've really nothing against entering combat. Infact, I never farcast, I just get good defensive armour (Guthans/dharoks/torags) for the plate and legs then get high range boosting armour for everywhere else. I'd also recommend a rune crossbow with either addy diamond (e) bolts or dragonfire if you can get ahold of them.

Personally, I'd just say take your range to 86 and just open up on people.

Not that stupid of an advice tbh, if you can't pk for ---- but have great stats, you will still get owned.

yeah got 1.1mill currently on this pure. Getting 5mill gp. I'm deciding if i should get 100k iron knives or 800-900k bone bolts......whats best/fastest xp of the 2
