All right, as known and constantly noted, the updates that have been going on are very unwanted. As a player moderator, i've been getting the worste of it: I constantly get bombarded with messages blaming ME for everything happening.
I believe that Runescape needs rules, but with such things as CONSTANT randoms and the fight against real world item trading, I'm getting fed up with all that's coming from this fight. The fight against Real World has ruined my staking and pking career and has lost a few of my oldest friends. When will it end? I'm not sure, but with the 3k maxes on so many things, it's going to ruin almost all money income players have.
Now, I ask but one question: Should I resign from being a player moderator? Should I stand behind the decisions Jagex has made and see how it all flows out or should I quit while I'm ahead? I really hate seeing friends quit and hate getting spammed with complaints even more. I wouldn't burn down a forrest to stop it from forrest fires, so why would I promote harming an entire community to stop a minority problem?
Please, help me with this... I don't know what to do. If you have a constructive comment, post or pm me in the game H-I-M--Pker

I would say quit while your ahead. That's what I would do if I was in your situation. In the end (IMHO) it depends on how much you love the game ATM. But if you don't care for Runescape right now, go ahead and quit. You should just turn your private chat off, imo. ;o

Its kinda stupid if people think that PMods are the reason. I would just quit. If you don't like the events, I don't see any point in playing. Like Trees said, it depends on how much you like the game atm. But if its not going how you wish it were, just be done with it. You dont have to resign (do you?) just stop playing.

don't resign. if anything, take the time to explain to those players. if you don't have the patience, turn private to friends/off. wait and see the effects of these changes, and whether or not jagex will compromise with the players.
as of now, i see many good suggestions for making these updates reasonable and worthwhile.

If I were you, I would just stop talking to people who moan and just talk to a select group of friends on private so others don't see your mod crown icon. That way you don't get harassed.

I reckon, turn chat off, don't talk to anyone until the updates have blown over and you'll be fine. Nobody knows you're a p-mod unless you talk, right?

if you're gonna resign, tell jagex before you go why. you've probably got a lot bigger voice than a lot of players...maybe this'll get fixed

To me it sounds more that you want to quit only because people are complaining to you, not because you hate the updates. If this is true, it would be a rather pathetic reason to quit.
You can just explain to people that you don't have anything to do with updates.

Take a break, go back and see what you think.
Simple advice.

well u could try telling them that it's not ur fault and u agree with all they say, this normally works, even irl. if sum1 is bugging u, agree with them and explain, so that their argument's motive is removed all together
