Here is a quick post, please think long before you reply, as Im just writing down a short version without explaining all the benefits.

Facts:

- JAGeX is trying to stop players trading items for real money.

- JAGeX wants to make money

- JAGeX's latest updates have ruined the game for many players

Solution: JAGeX should sell items on Runescape for real world money: This way JAGeX makes more money, it out competes the sweatshops and closes them down and it removes the market from the sweatshops as people will be more likely to buy the cheaper items from JAGeX.

Ok this changes the basis of the game, but it is in need of an overhaul. Maybe players can have a status put on their character as to show the worked up their character without buying items for real money off JAGeX. It would mean less RWT with non affiliated people/groups. It would mean JAGeX could get rid of these lousy updates, and it would mean that those people who want to cheat can waste their money, JAGeX will benefit, and other players will know who has bought items.

Just an idea, give it some thought.

the thing is, those people will always manage to sell gp/items cheaper than jagex. and if there is constant decrease in price to get ahead of each other, then rare items will become commonplace among those that spend rl money.

prices would drop just like with the implementation of GE but none of these RWT problems would be solved.

Jagex states on the Kb or Development diaries that they have already thought about this and they have decided not to do it.
