Well they say on this date, something really bads going to happen. The north and south poles are going to exchange positions, theres going to be destruction and storms. But there will be survivors.

The Winter Solstice is on December 21, 2007 at 10:08 PM, PST. The next day Venus is square Neptune, the moon is square Saturn, Mercury is opposing Mars, which brings storms and strong winds, the moon is square Uranus, which brings lots of water, the Sun is conjunct Jupiter, possible large earthquakes, and the moon is trine Neptune. Basically we have four planets in an alignment including our Sun. The Sun, Mercury and Jupiter are opposing Mars, which is at its closest point to Earth and making an electrical alignment with the huge comet Holmes. The Sun, Jupiter, Mercury, and Pluto are also conjunct the Galactic center or really close to it. This activates a tremendous amount of energy.

The moon is in Taurus on December 19, 20, and 21. If the energy decides to let loose on that day, watch out West Coast, Middle East, or Indonesia. Whatever happens the last ten days of December will be big. The exact conjunction of the Sun, Jupiter, Mercury, and Pluto opposing Mars is right over the longitude of the Mississippi River and the surrounding states as far south as New Orleans or Texas. Mercury brings storms, and the Sun, Jupiter aspect could bring an earthquake. The opposite side of the world is Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India. Both sides of the world could be affected by this energy, especially around he full moon of December 23, when the moon is also at the closest point to Earth. Basically, the whole world will be affected by this strong energy.

The north and south pole switch every few hundred thousand years, it's happened before and the world is still here with descendants of creatures from that time thriving.

This goes back to THOUSANDS of years, where Mayans and the Chinese predicted this. Answer that for me.

End of the world? I doubt it. I just think that it's the end of the mayans.

I normally don't believe in this kind of stuff, mostly because it's too many numbers and too much text for me to bother. I start reading a bit of it, then it comes down to a lot of strange things mixed together... This is where I close the page.

I don't really believe in much being said about the past, like things happening thousands of years back, since I never really find any proof I care for or believe in. Just another bunch of boring numbers and text.

It is just another "end of the world" prediction that has no backing. I wouldn't even spare a thought for it.

Trust me, when the 22nd of December 2012 comes around it will all be about a date in the year 2040, when some of the planets align. Most you'll get is a high tide, nothing more.

The same is true about this prediction. I trust modern Science over a long extinct civilzation.

the myans didn't believe the world will end in 2012 that's just when the myan calender ends.

I rember learning about this in earth sience, isn't when the north and south switch no bid deal? Compass will say south instead of north.

If you are talking about a Poleshift then things more than compasses saying "south instead of north" will happen. The migration of very many species of bird and sea creatures is dependant on the magnetic field of the planet. If they were to switch, species would be in danger of extinction, maybe leading to a global ecological collapse, something very, very serious.

You can't predict Poleshifts to such a specific point either, so whoever told you that is talking out of where the sun doesn't shine.

People can be fooled. This is one of the examples.

e.g. World of the Worlds broadcast. People actually thought they were being invaded by aliens.

The only logic I really need is this:
