Fallen X FAQ:
What is Fallen X?
Fallen X is the most innovative & most functional online Runescape toolkit. It contains all the features you've come to expect with other clients & more, but with absolutely no downloads! Created by Falln Archon and hosted by RuneCrypt, Fallen X is revolutionizing the Runescape Client, by using original & creative ideas with a practical approach.
What are the requirements of Fallen X?
All Fallen X needs to run is a browser which support Javascript & Cookies, an internet connection, and a screen resolution greater or equal to 1024x768. Whether you're on a cable modem, or still on dialup, Fallen X will still work for you; it's been optimized to work quickly & efficiently, with or without a fast connection. Fallen X is built for Firefox 2/3, and also supports Internet Explorer 7, with additional browser support is in the works. The optimal screen resolution is 1280x1024, but any screen resolution greater or equal to 1024x768 works
I think I found a Glitch!
As with all programs, bugs will exist in Fallen X- but the sooner you report them, the quicker we can fix them =). Simply make a new topic & be sure to include a detailed description as well as your username, browser, operating system, and screen resolution.
What is Character Management?
Character Management is a unique feature of Fallen X which allows users to associate multiple Runescape character names to their single Fallen X account. This is extremely useful for players who own multiple characters (skiller, pker, main, etc.). All you have to do is add the Runescape character names to your Character Bank in Settings->Account Settings, and then choose a ‘current character’, which is the Runescape account currently active. Once this is done, Fallen X automatically uses this character to compare stats in Calculators and Highscores.
*Note*: This doesn’t affect your actual Runescape account at all; all you’re doing is telling Fallen X that you own these accounts, and would therefore like to use their stats as a comparison base.
What is Highscores Style?
Whilst comparing stats in tile mode in Highscore Lookup, a special color algorithim is applied in order to make comparisons fast and easy. By changing this setting, the colors change in order to better accommodate your preferences of the algorithm.
-`Intensity` (Default) will create more elaborate shades, consisting of many shades of Red, Green, and Yellow. [Red->Orange->Yellow->Light Green->Green]
-`Plain` will result in only 3 colors of shading [Red->Yellow->Green]
-`None` disables the color coding algorithim if you prefer not to use it
What does Preloading Fallen X Files do?
By default, Fallen X only loads files for features when they’re required. This saves time and bandwidth, and results in a quicker start-up of Fallen X. The drawback of this method is that it will take a moment (a second or two on a fast connection, but multiple seconds on a slower connection) to load the files when they’re requested. This loading lag only occurs the first time you open a feature; after that the necessary files are already loaded, and the feature will open immediately. If you wish to load all of the files upon starting Fallen X, you can opt to using this setting. It will take much longer to launch Fallen X, but you won’t have any loading lag associated with loading features for the first time afterwards.
-`No` (Default) will tell Fallen X to dynamically load all required files only when they’re required to run a certain feature.
-`Yes` will tell Fallen X to load all required files upon start-up
