No, this shouldn't be pinned, I don't like the number of pinned topic in this forum mellow.gif

What to post in this thread:

- Small bits of information relating to Summoning in any way.
- Other aspects of the game that have been effected by Summoning in any way.
- Pictures of summoning (Make them sexy, and don't try to watermark or label them by yourself).
- Monsters that are good to kill for Charms (Say how often, what kind, and how many per drop).
- Uses of the familiars in relation to other skills (ex: "Yaks are good to carry ess for RCing")
- 'Mini-guides' for parts of Summoning such as the new pets
- Training strategies

What the Writers will/have dealt with, and therefore you should not post:

- How to make pouches/scrolls
- You can post specifics/pictures about these topics, just not full sections.

What else not to post in this thread:

- "Summoning Sucks" or "Summoning Sucks - jk, here's my submission"
- "I don't get the quest... help plz!"
- "I heard a new mini-game is coming out where you can play Michael Vick and have dog fights. You can even have Penguin vs. Gecko deathmatches!11!12@1!!!"
- Etc.

Be helpful, or do not post!

I rofl'd.

Anyways, I know a few good monsters that drop charms.

1) Giant Rock Crabs. They drop charms in about 1/3 drops and when they do, they drop 10 of any color, which is usually gold.

2) Dust Devils: They drop charms almost all the time, probably a 1/2 drop rate and when they do, you usually only get one charm, but you get a lot of variety and frequency of drops. Don't forget your facemask! smile.gif

3) Fire Giants: They tend to drop charms in 1/2 or 1/3 drops and when they do they're usually gold, but you get quite the variety over time. Pretty sure they only drop one charm at a time, but it's still pretty quick.

4) Iron Dragons: They drop charms in 1/3 or 1/4 drops, but when they do it's 2 at a time of any color. Good to collect these when slaying metal drags or just having fun there, they add up pretty quickly. Good for slayer.

5) Steel Dragons: They drop charms probably in 1/3 drops, but the drop 3 at a time of any color. Great for slayer assignments. smile.gif

I LOVE YOU CMAF!!!!!!!!!!

btw, infernal mages are good to kill for gold charms. 1 per kill, do not drop 100%
Shamurai
1) Mith Dragons 9/10 and they drop 4 at a time. - mostly Green
2) Aberrant Spectres 1/6 - Usually Gold
3) Nechyraels 1/2 to 1/3 - Usually Crimsom
4) Moss Giants 1/3 to 1/4 - Usually Gold.
5) Kalphite Queen 9/10 drops 10 at a time
6) Black demons (in fally 1/6) in chaos tunnels 1/3

More updates as I do slayer assignments.

Kurasks - 1/2, one at a time. 50% green, 30% crimson, rest gold with the odd blue.
Fire giants I'd say drop as much as 4/5. But one eat a time, 90% gold.

As with Shamurai slayer tasks will reveal more to me over time. I plan to keep a log in my G&A thread, but I'll let you know over here too.

Maybe we a need a -Charm Hunting- guide mellow.gif
so you know where to get 'em.

In terms of fast leveling, it seems like the most efficient way is to do the quest, which gets you 4 Summoning. From there do Dreadfowls until level 16, and from there do Desert Wryms or Granite Crabs.

Can't go further then that though.
Shamurai
That is not most efficient, its easiest. I made lvl 19 from strategically using my first charms. I did spiders as soon as able and the snails, the crabs.. Play smarter not faster.
