I would really like to see name changes in runescape, though they would probably cost something irl.

You chose the name, that's the price you pay. I'm quite satisfied with my username.

It would mess up forums, hiscores, Private messaging, Clan Chat etc. No.
Besides, I like my name.

I would like to change my name personally. :S But yea, once you choose it, you are stuck with it. So yea, I don't think Jagex should let you change it.

I enjoy my name quite a lot, it seems no one can ever say it right... so I don't have to respond. If you want to change your name make a new account. I think it would be stupid to have people constantly changing names, but maybe if you only got 1 name change.

I would consider this a bad idea since your friends would get confused and the whole friend list would get messed up. I like my name too, L Is Real 24. *It makes people wonder what it means, and why i said "L" and not some other letter.

That is easier said than done. A lot of people create their account and do not think about their name as they do not think they would get addicted to a game and be playing it years later. To create a new character just because you do not like your name isn't optional for people who have put years of work into their account.

im sure i once saw a thread of rs forums about sum1 complaining that their nick (not offensive in any way) kept on getting starred and wanted the filter thing to be changed... a j-mod replied saying that they are/might work/ing on something which allows you to create a nick (watever that meant) so yea, i guess time will tell if he told the truth...

i actually dont mind having the nick i have...

i would pay $10 to change my name, but since jagex do everything but the stuff people want ill most likey start over...but wait i can't drop trade my money to a new account!

as you shouldn't change your name irl, you shouldn't change it in game. Would mess up so many things.

You could go down Warcrafts route, you can change your name on that...for £15 ($30) =p

Yuri is right, jagex should do this, if people really wanna change it so be it, jagex make $20 a name change, they'd be making big bucks,which could make some big updates =).
im 100% sure atleast 20% of the runescape population would change they're names, and more would to if they had a way to.
i am one of those people who would like to change my name,
also another thing that would be good is being able to delete your charaters,i mean how many sweet names are taken by level 5 people who only played for a hour?

It doesn't seem like such a bad idea. For a small price. It would also be useful if it automaticly changed your name on other peoples' friends lists (thought that would be fairly complicated).

I like my name although its not exactly original.

I'd say mine is original originally I played neopets, and my username was doomdoomsp, so when people talked to me on that, i told them to call me ddsp, the 11 at the end of it was because I was 11 years old. If I created my account sometime after my birthday, it would've been ddsp12. I think I'm going to be making a series of ddsp accounts after i cut my membership off of ddsp11. I think it will be fun☻

that would take allot of work. You name will have to change for all your friends, highscores, ect.
