1) Introduction:

This is my guide to farming. I am not saying that this is the best way to level or make money. This is just how I got to 99 farming.

Farming At A Glance

2) Nature amulet

Amulets of Nature of player made. None tradable once enchanted.

You can bind it to any patch. It will hum as long as you are wearing it or it is in your inventory. This indicates that the patch is ready to harvest or has become diseased. If it has become diseased then you can teleport directly to the patch.

3) Farming amulet

Looks identical to the Amulet of Nature. You bind it to an Allotment or Flower patch. Similar to the Amulet of Nature it will warn you if the patch becomes diseased. It has 8 charges which when used will teleport you to the assigned patch.

These are purchased from a farm shop for 200gp each.

4) What to wear

IPB Image

Boots of lightness to help you run for longer, gloves to protect you when you pick your Belladonna, Dueling ring to teleport to the Duel arena, easy to pick cactus spines and to get the glider to the Gnome Stronghold, finally Amulet of Nature - which you will have bound to a patch.

5) Farming route

a) Fruit trees:

Inventory:

TO FOLLOW

Tele runes, woodcutting axe, farmer payments (relevant to the tree you have), the spade, rake and seeds dibber you can store with the leprechaun, sapplings, money to get the boat from Ardougne to Brimhaven and a teleport crystal to get to Llyleta.

1) Brimhaven (Fruit tree)
2) Karamja (Calquat)
3) Llyleta (Teleport crystal, Fruit tree)
4) Gnome Stronghold (Dueling ring to Duel Arena, pick cactus spines on your way)
5) West of Gnome Village (Use the spirit tree)
6) Catherby (Fruit tree)

b) Trees:

1) Varrock
2) Lumbridge
3) Falador park
4) Taverley
5) Gnome village (To save time you may want to do this at the same time as your fruit tree)

c) Bushes:

d) Allotments:

e) Hops:

IPB Image

1) Yanille
2) Seers
3) Lumbridge
4) Entrana

f) Special:

1) Cactus (I planted 1 then left it so I could pick the spines)
2) Belladonna (I pick and replant after doing my Falador Allotment patch)
3) Mushroom (I use the Fairy Rings to harvest this patch)
4) Spirit (Rare seeds but I always plant at Port Sarim)

6) Making compost:

On every run I make super compost. I would highly recommend you do this also. You can make compost at any level. So when you are on your allotment run I suggest going around once with buckets (make sure your leprechaun has enough space to hold 60 buckets of compost so that you have enough inventory space for your harvested items). Then once you have finished the run. Go around again with 4 more flower seeds and items for making compost / supercompost. You will then get 2 lots of flowers and your compost bin will be full for your next run.

Not only does this ensure you always have compost - but you will end up with too much. Super compost can sell for around 500 gp each.

If you are unsure what items can be used to make compost, use an item on the farmer at a farming patch. If it is not possible to use it then it will say "Nothing interesting happens". Otherwise the farmer will let you know if it is suitable for compost or super compost.

7) Ways to get seeds:

Miscellania
Thieving
Vinesweeper
Woodcutting – nests (Tree seeds)

It's been a while and a few updates since I planted a tree, but don't you use a trowel for tree seeds/saplings? Also, do you have recommendations on what should be planted at various levels to maximize your time? Guide's looking good so far happy.gif
f4t4l_3rr0r
You have to use a trowel to plant the seeds of trees into a plant pot. But not to plant the sapplings.

I have an excel table but no idea how to put it in. Or how I can put a table into my guide. Any ideas?

i'm pretty sure CD's can put that table when they code it.

well it seems great but it seems alot like a whole farming guide instead of a powerfarming guide.

good job so far happy.gif

Oh yeah. Well, your pictures for the inventory for fruit trees and wood trees both have a seed dibber, which is definitely not used, and it's in the description as well. Nice work putting that together happy.gif

Rocof - its not really a power guide, its more of an explanation of how I got my lvls. I have been asked a few times, so I thought I would do a quick guide. But yes I see your point. If it is the same as the guides already on here then it would be pointless to have it twice!

Would it be possible for you to "share" that google docs sheet with me so that I have access to it?

Google ID: cmafai@gmail.com

That way I can download it and start coding it into an html table smile.gif
