Full Version: Has Rwt Really Died?

Well, Jagex ruined pking. Although bounty hunter has improved, its no replacement for Pking. We lost it for Real world traders which really hasn't died, all you really do is get expensive items, take someone to bounty hunter and let them kill you, its really not that hard. In my opinion, Jagex doesn't want to remove bounty hunter because they're stubborn.
Benjy
you can't bring non-cbt items into bh.
i'd say that if rwt is still alive, i doubt it is what it used to be.
but i have very little actual experience in this, don't really play bh often
still, who would go through all the trouble of having to run into bh and 9/10 times i bet there will still be people waiting by the gates for randoms. on top of that they having to *die* with combat items and get the pickup penalty waiting longer for the almost inevitable of you ending up in lumby. it's a process i don't think would work often.
rampage
Well, you can bring god sets and now with the new bounty hunter, there is no penalties.

You obviously didn't try it.
I did, and i can tell you, it's one hell of a risk.

RWT took a big hit but it still lingers on. I imagine it will slowly continue to go downhill though, unless the cheaters bust out some major innovations in their technique... Maybe some bugs that help them get around the barriers Jagex implemented? wink.gif

For me, RS isn't fun anymore... and if I was an RW trader, I probably would quit rather than go along with the seemingly inevitable downward spiral, and move on to something like WoW botting. Just a thought.
rocof
i'm pretty sure you can take god sets there, it's a combat item and it's expensive
Jalen
Thanks for telling everybody how to share items.

But think of it like this..
In the worlds that have Bounty Hunter, there are alot of people. By the time you get in with a red skull on the top of your head, alot of high levels would have attacked you and whoever purchased rs gold wouldn't get it.

So, I can blame real world traders for the loss of pking? Now I have 2 enemies.

Unfortunately, there are still two ways of Real World Trading

1. Give your account password to the RWT'er and they get the money for you, which is usually a scam.

2. Bring expensive combat items into a lowly-populated Bounty Hunter world, the person kills you quickly, and they can pick up the items and get the cash by trading them back.

it's no secret, anyone could easily think of that sleep.gif

Who lost RWT? Lol...Just goto Bounty Hunter. Especially on F2P you can see the 1 item guy killing the naked guy with a red skull transferring Sara sets.

I recently gave my friend some Pumpkins, because Pumpkins are considered food you can bring as many as you want, they are about 6m each. I gave my friend 2 pumps on F2P through Bounty Hunter. I think it is ridiculous that you can't help your friends out anymore, so I did go around this stupid rule.

I don't see why a RWT would have a problem. Only thing is it takes longer and there is a slight risk of losing your goods.

Its not how it use to be...A few RWT now have switch from selling money to just selling accounts or offers to level your own account... I think training a skill to a high level is worth the time and effort but now all someone has to do is pay for it, sooner or later there will be all these players with high level stats instead of millions of GP.

I don't think RWT are dead at all. sad.gif
Barak
Well i think the stakes outweigh the reward in most cases since the items are somehow can transfer are limited (though pumps and easter eggs are an exception).

generally it was a big price to pay for jagex killing the wildy, but maybe in time they will make the system even better both for players and worst for RWTs
ddsp11
yea, rwt is just harder to pull off now, not gone sleep.gif
Demon Esa
You can bring stuff like 3rd platebody.
BUT!
If a pker sees a red skull over your head, you are so dead. All of the bh worlds are quite crowded usually.
jac
Bots count as RWTs, and I haven't seen many (if any) of those lately.
Morril
Any fanboy will argue that its died. I think people just dont care because everything is ruined.
Kev
I think it's died down but wild and whatnot went down with it. I think it would be better to bring the stuff back and let the people play the game how they want, let them be RWTs. It never affected how I played.
Talon2_0
I don't think it has died. Only slowed down.
icedragon
i find that they took pking out compleatly dumb.. its not guna stop rwt at all since in bounty there are only like 5 worlds or so that actually have people in it... and if they are selling a non combat item... what they can do is get a combat item that is around same price... die with it then have the buyer sell in ge and buy the item they originaly wanted -.-' i mean really think about it unless they take out all pvp drop forms out and all trading ways out there is no way to stop that from happenening
Row
All the macroers are gone whoever people can still trade items for rl money through the bh.

Yeah, those are basicly the only two ways for them to RWT. So it is not completely dead, but it has taken a huge hit. And also think... RWT is not just items, and money. It is also accounts. I'm sure that sale has gone up because of this.
L Is Real 24
Face it, RWT will never die. There will always be some way to get past and RWT, unless of course, there is absolutely no way you can PvP, which would kill RS even more. We'll have to put up with them until RS is offline, and we need to deal with it. They've caused us a bunch of problems, and there's no way to fix it, unfortunately. Let's just hope that it doesnt get so severe that there will be a mass ban, loss of RS2 and a beginning of an RS3. De-Ja-Vu

There's still one way left to rwt, but I'm not telling because then jagex will find out and take it away.
