I'd like to see if RuneCrypt would be willing to host a GFX team for the RuneCrypt Site/Forums. They could fill signature requests, community images, and staff requests. If so, I'd like to apply and maybe become leader of it.

What do you think?

If an admin wants me to, I can send a portfolio of my past work.

Bold #1: What?

Bold #2: You have 10 posts. We know nothing about you, nor have we seen any of your work. If anyone was to do this, which it really shouldn't because its not how we roll, it'd be someone who everyone knows, who consistentally posts new stuff, like Kiz or AF.

I don't really think this needs to be done though, because we have a decent set-up already in our Graphics Forums.

What would the gfx team do anyway?
Make signatures?
I think we should make it against the rules to post suggestions for group types in this forum because it has happened alot and staff keeps saying it won't happen.

@Otter: Post count has nothing to do with our willingness to hire staff, and you should know better then to flame a member who is trying to help out.

@Raven: I would never implement such a rule because it would restrict someones ability to submit a good idea. Its well worth the 2 minutes it takes to read over each submitted idea so long as even one of those is worth doing.

Now for the idea itself:
A "Gfx team" in the sense that your talking about wouldn't be possible. Currently when someone requests a signature or image our members fulfill that request on a volunteer basis. If we developed some sort of team to do this then it would restrict those members not on the teams ability to volunteer their work for someone else. I see no reason to limit one persons creativity while pushing another's.

As far as leadership or staff positions of any sort - we hand pick them, IE: They are never handed out on a volunteer basis.

Being a small graphic community there's no need in a graphics team. We do fine being unofficially run (doing signature of the month, art of the month, filling requests, commenting on other works).
this may be common in other sites where the graphics community is larger but in our case only about 10-15 people visit this section regularly. some 75% of the forum probably never go here.

on another note, i would love to see your portfolio either way biggrin.gif you're welcome to post it in the Graphic Art section smile.gif

Otter, Kiz & AF are the same person eep.gif
This has been suggested before and turned down a few times simply because a GFX Team like this is unneeded.
Anyway, post your stuffs and amaze us smile.gif

"We know nothing about you, nor have we seen any of your work." I say post count, I mean that. Hell, I know about post count means nothin. Falln Archon and Pokedude prove that point quickly.

I'm going to go ahead and say flat out no, from me at least.

If by "staff requests" you mean things like designing themes for site features, we have a way of dealing with that currently, and it seems to be working very well.

As for filling out sig requests and stuff, can't you do that already? eh.gif

Well that's settled.
