You could steer a boat to get to new lands You could use fishing skill to bring up caskets, and construction to build a boat/ship.

Basically, if you are on your boat, you click on the area that has the option "Steer Boat/ship".

Then this panel would come up and you could navigate with a left/right steer, and accelarate. You would also have to be careful of rocks so your boat doesnt take damage. People can also board your ship, its like a house but can be destroyed and mobile.

The people can be assigned jobs such as carpenter (crafting, construction) and net-master, for fish and caskets (fishing).

If its not too much, you can try to board other ships "like clan wars" excapt you die only to arrive on the shore to the closest island.

Its an idea in progress, add ideas lol

Maybe it should be called sailing instead of navigating lol

Consise, but yeah, you need to give more details before I decide if I like it or not.
But usually you don't need a certain skill level to get another skill up (construction to build the boat)

lol, thats what i thought of after reading the thread. I'd say you make xp by making different boats, and certain lvls to reach certain areas with the boat. Although there are already canoes that you can cut to use on rivers but its not as expanded as what you're thinking

err...i really think u gotta expand, and there is always Zelda if none else for sailing

runescape shouldnt have mordern stuff in it its suppost to be medevil times with bows arrows swords and magicnot boats that idea isn even near where it should be dude and i dont think it fits into the whole runescape idea
