From today, only 10 days till it comes out. It's already called the best game of the year, many people have pre-ordered it, heck, it's probably the most pre-ordered game in history. Everyone is sick of waiting, of course I'm talking about GTA 4.

Caused a lot of trouble back when the first part came out, and even today it's not the most smooth release you'll see. The Australian version of the game will be censored because of the major violence and possible drug use etc in the game. On the rest of the world, apart from Germany of course, who will get green blood.... It will be uncensored!! (Or at least, that's the information available right now)

Rockstar basically invented free-roaming, and GTA is still considered the best in it's category. The newest part in the series will be more realistic, for example it will have a cover system, which is really cool. I'm just hoping that it wont be too realistic, and that it's still possible to just drive around and create chaos without getting too much police trouble..

I've already pre-ordered it for the 360, and I hope it wont take too long till it comes out on the pc, cause the mods that come out are usually also incredibly cool, and I just love trainers combined with GTA...

I'm 100% certain that it's not The game went gold yesterday, which means that they ony started actually producing the disks yesterday, it's impossible for the game to already be in stores anywhere in the world.
And it's only coming out for the 360 and the ps3, and the pc will get it's turn later.

I don't have any statistics of it But I'm guessing Gta has been pre-ordered more than Halo, since it's being released on 2 platforms.

It is I've played it, and it's just... I dnno, stunning. The graphics aren't that stunning, but the rest is. Though IMO, the controls still aren't what they are supposed to be, but better than the other GTA games.

Cover system works pretty cool, though again I expected better. Haven't played much though, but I can tell you that cars handle a lot more realistic. I can't wait till I get my own copy... but I'm afraid I will have to wait:P

the game is pretty dam fun, the graphics are good compared to other GTA games n now has multiplayer with 16 people

Completed it earlier today at a friend's house, we took it turns to do missions. Fun game, graphics are poor but brilliant in comparison to SA. Gameplay is far better that previous GTA titles and the driving quality is top class.

Overall a fantastic game, I almost went out and bought a PS3 so I could play it but I think I'll probably wait for the PC version.

I'm currently at about 40% completion and have all 3 islands unlocked. Guessing I'm pretty far into the storyline now, which is awesome. You really feel connected to Niko, this storyline is probably one of the best you'll see in any game right now IMO.

Anyone know when the PC version comes out for the US?

Well, appearantly I'm supposed to unlock the islands before I try to go to them in a helicopter. Saw a shitload of cops with shotguns on my way in a VIPER, no fun :\. I can't seem to find the original house of Roman's, and idk if i saved or not.

one question for those that play GTA:IV, can cars be modified like in San Andreas?

it isn't even confirmed that a PC version will be released, although a lot of fansites say its October of this year, basing their claim on the fact that previous GTA games (VC and SA) were released 6-8 months after the console version

Not as easy as on the PC, but it's probably do-able.. But I think you'd best wait for the PC version to do that.

there were flying airplanes in GTA:SA so i don't see any reasons for them not to be in IV...

There's an airport in in IV as well, so I don't really get your point. Honestly though, I'm pretty dissatisfied that it's smaller than gta sa, lots smaller IMO.

Not that short. Probably shorter than GTA San Andreas, but hey, that was the biggest GTA ever. The travelling times were far longer in that one too.

There's not much (fun) stuff to do after the completed the storyline to be honest.

You clearly haven't played GTA in a while, hasn't had killing Frenzy's since Vice City (Or maybe even GTA 3? Not sure..)

You can do free mode yeah, but there are 14 modes in total, you should look it up. Team deathmatch and deathmatch are 2 of them, as an example.
