Well I notice this every time I go to buy something at the grand exchange. I put up my offer, and get nothing. I try again, but at high price, and in a second I get my order filled. But when I sell something at high, weeks go by and it won't sell. This makes stalemates, and no chance of negotiation for a fair deal. The buyers are trying to screw the sellers, and the sellers are trying to screw the buyers. Somethings gotta change.
Only idea as of now is to make a VERY low difference in the max, min, and market prices. (like, 5-10gp difference)
This was mainly a rant because it is so irritating, but feel free to suggest.

Yea, I guess you're right, but this isn't prevailant in all items. For example, I find it easy to sell the addy bars most of the time, if I can't I'll leave it in the G.E and it is sold by the time I return to the GWD. It can be very irritating if you need the item there and then, for Treasure Trails for example.
I do support your point, but reducing the difference to 5-10gp will make an already bad situation worse because merchants are already annoyed at the fact that 'free trade' has gone out of the window. However, a more sensible suggestion would be teaching the kids' (well, most of them and the adults aswell) that a few gp don't get you very far, at the expense of spending hours trying to buy/sell the item.

the item that you had to pay at a high price is probably an item that has a high demand. and the item you are trying to sell probably has a low demand. thats just economics.
besides, i don't see how your "solution" solves anything.

i like to go train on hillgiants, mosses...they drop bbones and limps which sell fast and for a decent price hobgoblins drop limps alot also.. i also fish alot, but that can take time
and as for this post..i completly disagree with that solution..

I agree, but selling at the average price might be good too. You don't get too high, too low, just perfect.

it depends really, i find that i really dont care if i am getting items for a quest i put in my first offer as high to get them item- i can only blame myself.
On the other hand, the ranarr market isnt doing to well because of this- its one where evryone loses out (buyers lose money anyway, sellers have to sell at low)
