Full Version: A Solution?

Now before I get to the suggestion, I will say I am not a particually big fan of Pking. But I feel that a compromise should be made, beacuse I tire of all the riots and spam threads on the forums.

So onto the suggestion,

Well it's pretty simple,
Wildy pking would be allowed, but with some restrictions:
You could only loot so much worth in items and gold depending on the level difference from your CB level and your opponents.
If you battle someone lower level than you, for every level of CB level Difference, the lower you can loot.
Also, if your opponent is higher level than you, the higher amount of CB level difference, the more you can loot from your kill.
Also, you would only be allowed to take combat related items into the wilderness on these worlds. If you had any non-combat items on you, you would be not allowed into the wilderness.

Obviously, the gravestones would be disabled upon entry into the wild.

Now, what about the skillers you say or the bounty hunters or even the revenant hunters or the various other things you can do in the wildy?
Well my solution would be that there would be specific pking worlds where you would be able to pk in the wildy, and only in these and revenant, BH, Fog etc would remain on the other worlds.

I hope you fellow crypters like this suggestion, and if you have other ideas that might improve this suggestion, then feel free to post them.

It would also be apreciated if you fellow crypters could help working out the looting amounts and such.

A few possibilities:
When an expensive item is dropped (Godswords etc.) a warning could pop up?

Thank You for reading,

i can't see anything bad with that suggestion.

In fact, it's awesome. Post it on the sugestions forum or PM it to Jagex. I hope they listen to you.

Sorry, but your idea is great and all, but I think it's either full wildy with full drops or nothin.

But the other parts to your idea would be a solid idea though.
Totally Buff
You will need to be a lot more specific to even consider this as a valid suggestion. However, at its core, this suggestion will not work. Any pk system that allows you to pick your own target and you know exactly what you will drop upon death will open the door to real-world trading. The unfortunate reality is that pkers want the same things that real-world traders want in terms of game play, and game experts have spent years fighting this without finding a solution.

So you're saying if it's a lvl 100 vs lvl 100 you get full drops correct? And lvl 3 vs lvl 100 = min drops correct?

Only flaw is RWTers making fake accounts but that would take a long time, and there should be item restrictions like phats and such.

This suggestion is also not in favor for duelers and lurers. But hey, one step at a time.

Agreed.

I have taken some of your ideas into consideration and have decided to use the non-combat item restrictions and such. Which would reduce RWT.

Also @Chuck and Row, with the way Jagex are nowadays, we are never going to get back to the days when we can loot as much as we want i'm afraid, i'm just trying to find a solution that some would at least make more people happy than the current system.

@Rocof, I'm not a member, don't have a clue how to send a message to Jagex and if I could, they would probably send me some automated message saying old wildy will never come back, please read the Development Diaries etc.

@Count Sadath, Luring is against the rules.

Again, I thank you for your coments. yes.gif

Good idea,

but I think it would be better if they leave the current willdy alone and just make a new one and call it a minigame tongue.gif

(your ideas are similer to the ideas I thought of heh.gif )

Yah, good idea, but i think you should only be able to take in Combat-related items only.

I edited my post last week to add this rule into my suggestion, please fully read before you post.

Thank you for your comment though.
