Edit: I should explain that I'm happy and excited because Diablo II is one of the best games ever made and there's been rumours and circulation about a sequal for several years. And Blizzard are awesome.

I really enjoyed all of the Diablo games and I thought Diablo II was one of the best games I have ever played. Now, by seeing all the concepts and screenshots for this next one, it's getting really exciting.

It was like the original RPG (obviously not the actual original one) but it was one of the first to be hugely popular. It was the game that won Blizzard much of its popularity. It had everything; and although the graphics are now outdated it provided the basis for most of the games of the 'hack and slash' genre that followed.

And as my explanation is probably not good enough I'll resort to good old Wikipedia.

Diablo II holds (or at least did hold at the time) the record for the fastest selling computer game ever sold. 1 Million units within 2 weeks.

Necromancers for the win!
And I frankly can't wait.

If I'm not very much mistaken I think they've replaced the Necromancer with a new class; The Witchdoctor, this of course could be a new class entirely. We'll have to wait and see.
