Hello there
Like many people, I have a graphics card well beyond the recommendation for Runescape 'HD'. I have an 8600GT, and I think the short fog distance is a slap in the face to anyone with a decent graphics card.
I really would like to see a fog distance setting added into the game, but by default it would be set to what it is now. Fog distance control would make the game look less like old Runescape, and more like modern MMO's.
For people who are unfamiliar with fog, it is the solid color that you see at the edge of your vision in Runescape. When you tilt your camera all the way down it is most noticeable.
Control of fog distance would allow players to change how far away that 'solid color' is, making the game feel smoother, larger, and allowing them to see more.
(Yes I am aware of all the lag issues and am assuming these issues are server side. Of course, this would be added at a later date
