This is probably in the wrong section, if so just move it.

I've just finished the diary.

Spoiler - Rewards:

Beginner:
  • Explorer Ring (1). (Colour: Bronze). Recharges 50% of run energy once per day and gives Magic and Prayer +1 Bonus.
  • Explorer Emote (Peers far away, then uses a Sextant)
  • 500xp Magic Lamp.
Easy
  • Explorer Ring (2). (Colour: Silver). Same as Explorer Ring (1), but recharges 50% of run energy twice per day, has 30 free casts of Low Alchemy per day, gives chance of crafting more fire, earth, air or water runes if worn when runecrafting.
  • 1k xp Lamp
Medium
  • Explorer Ring (3). (Colour: Gold). Is exactly the same as Explorer Ring (2), but recharges 50% of run energy three times per day, and gives unlimited free teleports to the cabbage field south of Falador (North of Port Sarim.)
  • 1.5k xp lamp.
Other 'facts':*
  • The teleport is useful for Fishing in free-to-play on Karamja where players can use the ring to teleport back to Draynor when they are done fishing in Karamja. This saves 30 coins as well as a lot of walking distance.
  • The ring is useful for farmers because the teleport spot is just south from an Allotment, Herb, and Flower patch, especially when farmers using the Chain Farming technique, as it is the quickest teleport to the Falador patch, and unlike the Amulet of Glory which needs recharging.
  • For some reason, the ring cannot be taken to Entrana. The monks of Entrana says something about its magic disrupting the flow of that on the island.
  • Players gain the normal experience for casting Low Level Alchemy with the ring - 31 experience.
  • The ring is the only ring with a Prayer bonus, and the only non-member's ring with any bonuses.

Interesting rewards for f2p

Although I don't think we can do much with this submission without a guide on completing the diary sad.gif
Overdoziz
You don't need a guide for it. They describe everything in game.
rocof
I was more thinking on showing what's the fastest way to make it. In game the order isn't the faster

Like this guide: http://www.runecrypt.com/index.php?pid=871

I finished it all, it was pretty easy, but Bob won't give me my Explorer ring (3) D:
But yeah, I don't think a guide is needed, unless you want to make a guide that says what to bring so you can do each task one after another etc.
Overdoziz
Ned gives you the ring (3)

He's in draynor btw.

Oh yeah, you're right. Thanks thumbsup.gif

Well, I don't really want to write a guide right now. Even though it would only consist of the easiest, quickest order to do them in, but you can figure that out yourself.

For example: The medium one is centered around lumby, and then moves to al-kharid. So go to lumby and do all the things, then go to al-kharid. The only thing not is smithing a steel longsword in the draynor sewer dry.gif

ADD-ON:
Oh, and Explorer Jack gives you the first rewards, bob the second, and ned the third - just for those reading who don't understand.
dorian_the_walker
The one thing about the third ring that I do not understand is the whole cabbage patch spirit part. Can anyone explain that?
Saebjorn
No, actually I can't. I hung around the farming patch in the falador garden, and the group of patches above the cabbage field it teleports you to, but the only thing close to a spirit I got was some green woman telling me that my crops will grow if I'm away from the patch.
Otter
That Prayer bonus is interesting
rocof
cabbage patch spirit? lol nice imagination :S

the ring just teleports you to that cabbage field north of port sarim.
Saebjorn
No, it specifically says something like "and also, this ring was blessed by the cabbage patch spirit herself! If you hang around patches for a while she may pop out, she doesn't like people wandering around her"

....her wait, was it cabbage patches or farming patches you had to hang around?...
