Do you watch the credits after movies, or try to after TV shows? I've noticed that in movie theaters only a couple of older people sit around and watch the credits after the movie ends, and on TV most of the time credits are reduced so that the next show can start or so commercials can be shown while the small credits scroll in a corner of the screen.

I don't attempt to, unless I want to know who played what role, but honestly, we have IMDB for that. I think that this is a result of the lifestyle we live - I.E. everything needs to be fast or forget about it.

Opinions?

As bad as it is, I sometimes watch credits for the obscure names in it.

But not as bad, I stay after to see if there are special stuff.

I watch credits only in the cinema because there are always extra parts behind the credits smile.gif

Credits & commercials on TV = ZAP

Same here. Otherwise I do it cause I'm bored and wanna look weird just sitting in the front of the theatre all alone as everyone files out.

I don't stay. I usually hear from a friend if something happened at the end or I wait til the dvd. By the end of the movie i have to piss very badly.

On TV the credits go by so fast it doesn't even matter.

I call Tv credits Speedo-Creds for a reason I guess mellow.gif

Well, we usually watch the credits after a movie. The one time we didn't, we missed the ending scene in Pirate of the Caribbean: At Worlds End. But yea, in theaters, we usually stay for the credits, on TV shows, I don't really care for them unless they show like "bloopers" after the show. Then I watch them or get angry when they have a person talking about what's coming up next while the bloopers are showing and I can't hear those. (i.e. Fresh Prince on Nick at Nite)

Yeah i feel the same way! And usually the commercial is something repetitive anyways like Carl Winslow or something like that , it's really annoying!

I feel your pain.

When I was little(well like 11-12ish) and still watched cartoons I used to see how many times they recycled voice actors.

I only watch the credits if; they show something beside them while they're playing or I've heard that there's something after they finish. Otherwise I leave as soon as the movie is over.

You have to watch the credits they put in extra things. Example Tenacious D Pick of Destiny, Iron Man, and just about any other movie that has a pre movie fan base.

They did it with hancock except it wasn't at the end, it was like a little bit into the beginning. It was funny, everyone was just about to leave when it came on, so there was just a cluster at the exit.

Very old system from the beginning of Hollywood. It's still written into contracts and has been left mainly unchanged. Form of tradition?

I watch them sometimes to see how many people have the same first name as me.

Spire
I only watch credits at the movie theater since they sometimes have a little clip after the credits.
