I love using prayer in duels. I hate using Protect-from-X prayers, or having them used against me. This is why I propose a new rule.

*No Ranged
*No Melee
*No Magic
*Fun Weapons
*No Forfeit
*No Drinks
*No Food
*No Prayer
*No Protect-from-X Prayers
*No Movement *Obstacles
*Enable Summoning
*No Special Attacks

No Protect is only available if No Prayer is unchecked. This new rule is automatically checked.

It wouldn't differ much from the 'No Prayer' rule really. Of course you can use the other prayers with this rule you're suggesting, but I would guess they would pick the same ones (depending on their combat style).

In Clan Wars there are hundrreds of noobs who, at the start of a match, rush to the center, pick someone ten levels below them, and say, "1v1 u n me no noobs help him." Clan Wars is meant to not be 1v1. It's part of the game. They just don't ever get used to the fact that they can't beat up newer players.

Protect-from-X prayers are just like that, too. They're part of the game and have been for a long time. Since people started playing RS, they were there, but I suppose some people never got used to them. If someone posted your suggestion on the official forums, and Jagex reviewed it, they might be more like "He ought to just deal with it" rather than "Let's fix this serious problem."

All in all, this is an update that I might (but not likely) see come out someday in the future, but it's so minor that it most likely will never be done while Jagex has more important things to worry about. PvP worlds, Holiday events, quests, items, skills, minigames......

If they ever set it into the game, I'd expect it to be the sort of thing they don't really announce, it's just so minor. Did you notice, for instance, that the Forgotten Cemetery has been graphically updated? Jagex didn't announce that, and I think this, if it is ever realized, will be along those lines.

He said "in duels." I think he means the Duel Arena rather than clan wars.

The unnannounced stuff - you know, I wish they made an announcement to tell us that there are unannounced stuff. Its usually crammed on the bottom of the next news article under "In other news" and I nearly miss them every time.

I think this would be a decent idea, however I don't think its urgent. Its kinda like pressing the run meter near the minimap to run - I thought of that the second the run meter was put there but it wasn't instuted until just after fullscreen/resizable window came out.

You're not the only one to think of that little tidbit with the run meter. It takes Jagex a bit longer than some of us.
