The big talked about update for the xbox is only days away. It will automaticle download and update when you turn your system on. What do you think about the features?

I'd be helpful if you told us about this "update" and what it beholds.

Not everybody knows an Xbox and not everybody reads about Xbox updates every day.

Is it the "dashboard" update? Idc about it since i don't own a 360, but for those who are interested here are some links.

The 'Mii's' are a bit of a turn off though.

Really excited to get it, I don't mind for the dashboard and such. It's okay, but I don't really think it's necesairy. Although a faster and better working dashboard isn't luxury IMO. This one is just pretty slow.

But what I'm really glad about is the 16:10 support, which will finally give this 22" a use..

It's interesting and it's better than the old dashboard imo. I don't like the avatars though they just seem like a silly thing to put in. The only thing that matters to me is that the functionality is still there.

How can it even be compared the Home? It's only a dashboard graphical update and maybe some other new features. Home is something totally different. And the avatars are only a small part of the update. I really dislike them though.

I agree though, this was a graphical update, and not an attempt to create a "home" which they already had.
