Full Version: Runescape = Black

Yesterday I wanted to log onto Runescape, and got a little bothered when all I could get was a black screen when I selected my world. I didn't get any loading screen, it just got to the URL where you log in, and nothing else happened.

I am using Firefox, and I have been playing for years with it, I haven't updated Java in a while, so I thought I would update it to see if the game would work then. I uninstalled Java and tried to log in, and it told me to install Java. So I tried both an old version and the newest version. The message was gone, but it was black again.

I had been running Firefox 2, so I upgraded to Firefox 3, in hope of that solving my problem, which it didn't. So now I'm sitting here trying to log into a black screen. hash.gif

I can also hear the login-screen music, but that's about it.

Does anyone know how I could possibly solve this?

i agree with spire. you should try using Swiftkit.

Or try Google Chrome
Drerven
Or instead of going to the extreme have you tried the basic solutions first like I dunno... clearing your cache?
Zaico
Somehow it suddenly worked. And yes, I did try both Chrome, their client, Internet Explorer and everything I could find on my computer. tongue.gif

But now it's back and working, so yay, and thanks to anyone who tried to help. smile.gif
