jagex has confermed mechscape by posting a picture of it on it's only "jagex approved fan site".

p.s anyone remember me making the shout, anyone get a call from jagex latley? this is why.

Yea it was confirmed time and a half ago by some guy during e3... first release date mentioned was Q1 of 2009 (march) but that was rumoured to be delayed to spring 2009, which is probably april/may.

Well kinda, been on the site before but never bothered with it much. Didn't know it was that "approved" by Jagex, but I guess it only makes the content more believable.

they just approved it like last week. Ive been a member on there for almost a year.

I know the guy who runs MechScapeWorld.com, he's a great guy and really knows what he is doing, so I think Jagex wants to start out on a good foot with people in the community they know they can trust. Don't read into this as a way that Jagex is going to favor MSW over other MechScape fansites, but I think they wanted to point potential MechScape players in the direction of a fansite that is NOT a scam, and is NOT going to put up anti-jagex "propaganda". Well played by Jagex on this one, I can really respect the direction they took.
