Hello all. I want to know what are the best options to train these 2 skills to 80. I have them at 71 (cfarting) and 75 (smithing). So what do you think?

Well I have no idea about crafting, but for smithing I would recommend-
i) making steel bars and smithing into Steel Platebodies (don't lose a lot of money I think)
ii) buying bars and smithing into Steel Platebodies (makes a larger loss and is a lot quicker than the other one)
These are the only two options I can come up with that don't cost you too much.

Back when I played a lot gold bars and gauntlets were a good option. What happened to that? Screwed due to GE or something?

Blast furnace with mithril bars, halving the amount of coal makes it profitable if I remember right.
Not any more Mark. There's no way good to make smithing or crafting profitable without gathering materials yourself. The exchange saw to that. Infact, I don't know if you can even break even anymore.
How much are you willing to spend? Because gold with gaunts is still the fastest xp, but it also costs an arm and a leg. As for crafting, green leather is the most cost effective but still decent training method. Staving is the most profitable, but it's really slow.

Battlestaffs for Crafting, you can break even, and it's good experience.
Collect Battlestaffs for a few days. Then, make the staffs. I'm pretty sure theres info on that somewhere.
For smithing, Mith Plates. If you don't want to waste money make cannon balls or iron bars. I'm pretty sure that gold bars is the fastest, but costs like 400ish gp ea!
