Easter 2009 Guide

::::::::No Images yet, though:::::::

IPB Image

This is a brief guide intended for those already familiar with RuneScape.
I have not spoiled what actually goes on in the conversations, etc, and all the specifics because it is always more fun to do it yourself.

Until I can obtain better images, you can use the above picture as reference.
The screenshot was taken from the south-east corner looking towards the north-west corner.

Requirements:
  • Nothing. However, your inventory must be empty. If it is not the bunny will try teleport your stuff to the bank, which will fail if your bank is full.
-------
1) Head to the Easter Bunny, he lies just north of Rimmington.
2) He will tell you to go down the hole. As you go down, you will turn into a rabbit.
3) Follow the cave area roughly north (a bit west) until you come to a hole that takes you into the factory. The factory has 4 sections - The main factory area (a square) which you walk into, a cave area connected to the east wall of the factory, and an office and atrium sort of area up at the north.
4) Speak to Easter Bunny Jr in the most North-West part of the factory. Afterwards, read the to-do list just outside his office.
5) Talk to the big bird.
6) The bird will mutter some nonesense gibberish. Nonsense? I think not! Inside that phrase is a clue that will tell you which of the four seeds he needs to be feeded. Get the required seed from the east wall of the room and water from the tap at the north wall (no bucket needed) and put it in the bird's food trough thing.
7) Talk to Easter Bunny Jr who is now standing just West of the bird.
8) He will tell you to round up implings.
9) Take some jars from the South wall of the atrium area. They are next to the real jars, are small, are constantly respawning (you won't even see it disappear) and called "Impling Jars." - I took 5 of them.
10) Take a net from the North-East part of the atrium.
11) Run out the East side of the factory (the opening is near the South end of the East wall) and into the caves and catch imps - they're flying. (Right click > "Catch Easter Impling") I found 5. Coincidentially it seems I took the right amount of jars.
12) Return these implings to the painting machine at the South end of the factory. ("Use" one jarred imp on the painting machine.)
13) Talk to the imp sitting on the West end of the broken incubator.
14) Get the blueprints from the North wall of Easter Bunny Jr's office and read them.
15) It will show you the parts missing from the Incubator, and where they belong.
16) Search crates around the factory for the Incubator parts. I found the parts in these areas:
  • In the group of crates in the south-east corner of the factory.
  • In a crate on the west wall.
  • In the group of crates in the north-west of the cave.
17) Repair the Incubator by replacing the pieces to right parts, in this order:
  • Use the cog on the main "Broken Incubator" section.
  • Then use the pistons on the same section.
  • Then use the chimney on the same section.
  • Use the wet pip on the water tank,
  • the sooty pipe on the coal supply
  • and the dry pipe on the controls.
18) Talk to Easter Bunny Jr. He is now right next to the Incubator (East side).
19) Go to the nut sorting machine on the west wall and "Look at it" and then "talk to Big Ben."
20) You will have to re-train the squirrels to sort nuts by playing a small game that pops up. It's very simple - hit the red button when anything that is NOT nuts enter the red area in front of the dozer-thing that pushes it into some sort of bin-chute. (Eg: Broken nuts, screws, eggs, etc).
21) Go to the atrium area of Easter Bunny Jr again and talk to him.
22) Go to the south of the factory and go through the hole. Retrace your old steps outside and talk to the Easter Bunny.
23) He will give you an Easter Carrot to whack other people with. Note: It is a two handed weapon and takes no damage off enemies (I tried it on a spider).
24) ....and it appears somewhere along the line I got a emote called "Around the World in Eggty Days." I have not seen the movie "Around the World in Eighty Days" so if anybody can explain if there is some sort of scene in that movie where someone runs really fast, then stops suddenly and catches an egg and eats it, please tell me.

>>>>If anybody would like to contribute images of the different stages/parts of the event to add to the guide, please feel free.<<<<

If you have found any mistakes, please notify me.
Feel free to code the images as RuneCrypt banners. smile.gif

And please post about this guide on the homepage of the website as was half-promised in the new "changes."

Thanks for reading!

Edits:
1) Fixed the step with the birdseeds - they are different for each person.
2) Read over and corrected one direction and various wording.

The seeds needed must change for each person. I got asked for sunflower seeds.
Raz
Great job, nice guide.

Yeah, the bird feed is different for each person. You can get worm bits, cracker bits, sunflower seeds, and I think poppy seeds. Just mouse over the pile in your inventory to see what it is, and put the matching pile in the bin.

Also, the missing parts can be found in the crates just south of the broken machine and 1 crate on the east wall just south of the seed buckets.

For the last part when you train the squirrels, you have to discard everything that doesn't look like peanuts. So you hit the red button when you see 2 round circle things, the chocolate egg, the bolt, the weird spiky thing, and you keep the small batch of peanuts and that 1 big peanut. If you mess up, your counter resets and you have to start collecting at zero again.

Nice guide happy.gif

Shouldn't this be in Site Submissions?
Maarten
I've put it up in RC chat because that's what we usually do with holiday guides. I'll unpin it when the event is over.
Thanks for taking the time to write this! smile.gif

Ok, this post was too messy. Have cleaned it up.

Thanks for the feedback. I wrote the guide last night (my time) pretty quickly, so if I have spare time I'll write
it with nicer wording and a bit more content with screenshots I can take on my pure.

As for the banner - I probably saved it as a JPEG and then when I cut it in photoshop probably saved as PNG and uploaded it as a PNG.

If any of you took screenshots, please feel free to post them so I can add them into the guide.

And I actually did submit it in Site Submissions and Suggestions, but it appears to have been moved by Maarten. Wtvr.

And please can this be posted on the front page of the website for the people who browse the site for the guides and for people who want one a guide but for some reason aren't looking hard enough.

To hope is to risk despair. wink.gif

But yes, there are people who need it/want it.
Greyfaxerkilledyou
I complete that, but, there is a one thing in no#2,You must not have your bank account full in it.Otherwise, the Easter Bunny will not let you give you the magic to be a rabbit to complete the quest.(I'm very serious!)
Saebjorn
Please don't quote the entire guide. That was just a big obstruction in the thread.
