Well, i have to convert a few images from 24 bit to 16 bit depth. I heard i can use photoshop, but i'm still unsure and think i need some crappy converter. Tips are welcome.

Um... the only way I can think of is to open a new photoshop file (if you have photoshop) and in "colour mode" choose 16 bit and set the resolution to match your images and copy+paste them over and save...
Other than that, I got no idea.

Open in photoshop and change the image to 16 bit. Easy.
