This website is like gas. It expands to fill up the space. In one way that is good, but it also means that I (having a widescreen) miss out in certain areas because of like, Rob's walls of text which aren't so wall-like when there are long lines, not tall paragraphs, etc. This came to bother me when I thought of adding something to the bottom of the webpage and realised it wouldn't work for me.

Well, its only under the forums. Its not on the home page (which would be the top priority in my book) and under any individual threads.

And on this sort of topic, I just noticed that there are no themes for Runecrypt that don't involve it filling up the entire browser. Normally websites stay the same size and just have more empty space around the sides.

Who cares if you can see those statistics at the bottom or not?

Well, the forum I saw this on didnt expand to fill up the browser and was't a very long webpage, so it was very apparent and noticeable, and looked like a good idea. The fact is that after more than a year on this site, I never noticed that bar on RuneCrypt.

Well that's not gonna happen. This is just how invision power board is, I like it this way and there are many more who do. Get used to it, I actually like that this is not one of those crappy sites which have big white spaces left and right.

It's not on the homepage because the homepage is the MKportal and isn't really integrated with the forums.

To be honest, I'm not sure if you even could integrate the board statistics into the MKportal homepage. If it is possible, there's absolutely no point in doing so since we'll be losing the MKportal homepage due to Shamrock sometime soon anyway.

Yes, it could be done. Yes, there is an easy setting to change that would make it a contained-width layout. Yes, it would look like shit.

Here's why: Our site is different from the site you mentioned, because we have these nifty pop-out sidebars with all the little boxes and widgets and links and whatnot. If those were just floating to the side with whitespace to the left and right, it would look horrible. What's worse is that the standard width would change every time you open/closed the sidebars, shifting the entire site around in your browser. Bottom line is this site only really works with a liquid layout, sorry.
