I'm trying to use awardspace to host a site, I've configured the DNS but when I try to open the domain I get this: http://demacorperation.co.cc/ It says to upload the site into the folder but I have, I've also renamed the main HTML file to Index. Do I just have to wait for the DNS to update or is there a problem? Please help I'm new at this heh.gif
Matthew
Its named index.html right?

Go to your index.html file on your computer (where ever it may be), and hit edit, now in a spoiler post here whats inside it. Assuming, you have edited it tongue.gif

Make sure that all the corresponding labels match up to the t. for instance "Index" and "index" will not be considered the same.
Matthew
Toe..the specific name doesn't matter because hes just going to upload that EXACT .html file using FTP or whatever he may be using..

well take a look at the website again now, the main file seems to be there but it says all the links are broken =/ even though I uploaded all the files to my webpage.
here's a look at how the files are arranged in my folder IPB Image
Matthew
What exactly is inside of your index.html file? How much did you code?
sonic718
I sliced up a design to a template I made and linked the slices to other html images I made and uploaded, If you think you can help me I'll give you the username and password to my account so you can see whats inside the htmls or you can download team-viewer 4.
Matthew
EDIT: Okay, I viewed the page source on your website and, trying uploading the image to like Photobucket and use the direct image link as the image source.

You are having trouble with images, right?
sonic718
I don't really understand what you're saying, I said I made an image on photoshop and sliced it up, this is the image I used http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa200/S...rationscopy.png and I saved it for web devices then uploaded the HTML to awardspace and renamed it to Index. but it's not showing up
Matthew
Wait, why did you rename a picture to index.html?

Please post or PM me the images your using for your template, the picture you showed me is what your website is going to look like right?
sonic718
the picture is what the website is supposed to look like, I sliced the image and made it an html, I renamed it to Index. all the files I'm using are on my Awardspace account, I can PM you the username and password if you want.
Matthew
Sure, I'll take a look.
