I told this guy I would make him a sig like this:

Style:Demonbane with a bit of Saphira and some Charmander (current sig)
Render:Teen Gohan SSJ2
Text:Pmurphy21
Border:Any
Coloring:Any
Other:Super-Saiyan Electricity-stuff around render.

It seems to be working out kinda well, except I didn't manage to get the same flow effect as in the other sigs, it looks too busy, too bright and I can't seem to find a way to make it look decent and finish it off.

Current Progress:

HEEELP!

P.S If you want the PSD to half do it for me, you are welcome if you know how I can send it tongue.gif.

You would have to start over. Try using different blending modes on your brushing layers instead of just leaving them visibly stacked upon each other with little effort. It doesn't always work out doing it the way you have been doing it. Your colors and their current placement of each are negating whatever flow there might have been created beforehand too. You will need to change your coloring methods.

Ah, no. Besides for starting over, the rest of your post is 'wrong' - for that is the way my sigs work.

They generally look horrifically ugly and discoloured until near the end when I:
A)Use pattern maker, Image > Apply Image, more C4D's(some smudged), to make it flow and
B)Recolour and 'stablise' it through colour balance, gradient maps, brightness/contrast/levels/gammastuff, etc.

Ill see if there is another answer otherwise I might just well restart.

jeez... the coloring is horrible, i must say.

fact is, if you have a list of stuff you always do, what it meas is that you lack imagination. read more tutorials, use more tricks.

currently this signature looks completely overdone, you need to go back a good few steps and try to keep the focal on your render/stock.

Then what is the correct answer to all of your problems?

I shall inform you of this magical and elusive creature which you seek so clearly.

It look's fine. Sharpen for your focal a little, but leave the rest.

I actually like the colors a bit, I think orange and purple look awesome together, but that's just my opinion. As for the effects, they're too thrown around without much flow, I don't like how the render's opacity is lowered, that's not how you should blend it, always keep the render at 100% opacity. Work on the composition and originality of your sig, don't just put a render and some effects and say yay I'm done.

As for the sig, I feel that it's main problem is that it's an affront to my eyes. Why does it have to be brighter than the sun? You've even said in your criticism of it that you feel it's too bright, but really the only way I see it being fixed is to start over with a rather different palette. Try and go darker than the stock since it's a bright stock.

I'm so gonna use that for my next sig
Saebjorn
Looks like I'm starting again.

As for the colouring, etc - I usually don't worry and recolour it towards the end.
As for the non-flow and brightness - thats the problem, why I made this thread.

Thanks for the help for the future!
