So -
My laptop charger wouldn't charge anymore. So after help from a geeksquad agent, I got a universal charger. It charged the battery again but only lasted a few months. The battery wont charge but the universal charger will keep the laptop running with the battery at 0%.
Now a new problem arose. The slightest movement of the power cord, and it will power off my laptop. If I move my leg, or change my seating position, it will power off. If i set my laptop on the table it will power off. Any slight movement of the power cord it will power off.
So my battery wont charge and this expensive charger wont work. I've only had this laptop for 1.5 years but I suppose its a laptop so its old.
So the question I have; is this a motherboard problem? or some other solvable problem?

Sounds like a damaged cord.

The connection terminal itself sounds to be damaged. Would explain not charging and sudden disconnect from wall outlet, leading it to die if not so equipped with a charged power cell.

Your DC jack is most likely broken/loose (The part that you plug your AC adapter into, not the adapter itself).
And your Battery is bad.
Repairing the DC jack either requires a new motherboard or a new dc-jack harness depending on how its damaged and the model laptop, the battery requires a replacement.

Sounds like a faulty battery, and a faulty terminal. I have the same plug-must-be-on-exactly-the-right-angle-to-run problem on an old Dell Inspiron laptop.

This is bullshit! The charger was expensive.
Is the terminal problem something I could have caused? Or is this known to happen to chargers?

Laptop batteries are also very expensive, yet it broke on you as well.
I don't know how much you used it in that 1,5 year, but yes you could have caused it.

Alright. Thanks for everyone's help. I am not going to bother to do anything with it now. sfgsdfgs
