Short and sweet.
My computer is a bit loud and I want to sound reduce it. The only way I knew how was to glue on some foam inside the pc on one of the sides.
Is this a good idea?

It's could be your fan making most the noise and you can make your fan do less work by putting your system in a cooler area. That's about all I can suggest.

What kind of glue are you using?

I was at the local hardware store and they recommended me thermal adhesive to apply it. It was cheap around 10 usd. I also went hunting for the foam and I found a matress topper for around 25 usd (topper used as the foam. same shit).
Good?

I'm not the expert here, but I think thermal adhesive is permanent and absorbs heat. Like when you want to permanently stick your fan to your processor (which is not a good idea).

It's best to put Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound between the processor and the heatsink/processor fan to help keep it cool. This helps keep it from getting over heated.

Why don't you just buy some quieter fans?
