Clan History
RogueSKillers was created on 10/07/08 by Hyruliankid0 and Zuggalo88 and opened on 10/20/08. After trying out a couple clans and getting a grasp on what we wanted exactly from one, we decided to make our own. We wanted a clan that we could enjoy ourselves in and try to avoid as much drama as possible without having to do specific things in order to be noticed or be a part of the clan. We created this clan as a mature based RuneScape clan. Shortly after we realized that it wasn't that we only wanted mature people. We wanted people that were laid back, that just want to enjoy their RuneScape experience along with the company of their fellow clanmates. That's when we decided to go with the laid back atmosphere rather than the mature one. Around the middle of December in 2008 Zuggalo88 had to leave and didn't return until the middle/end of February in 2009. While he was gone Jake Arbor took over as clan leader along side Hyruliankid0 and held his spot with pride and great leadership skills while Zuggalo88 was gone. Jake Arbor helped bring this clan where it is today. Almost at the very beginning of March 2009 a friend of many clan members was brought into the clan which caused problems among some of our original members. Shortly after this we lost a few members and implemented the "No Drama Policy" to ensure that every clan member was aware no matter their status or dedication that drama will not be tolerated. Now with almost a half a year under our belt we're nearing 100 members we're stronger than ever and have expanded to the entire RuneScape community rather than just friends of fellow clan members. The private aspect of the clan is fading more and more as we grow. RogueSKillers is a community of RuneScape players that like to cut up but know where to draw the line. We like to have fun while not offending or being rude to each other at the same time. If you can't take a joke, this clan is not for you. If you can tell a joke then you may have some competition. Like most clans we have events. However our events are NOT required. They're simply there as an option. We have plenty of variety, so you're bound to find an event that interests you. If it's not something you're interested in then you don't have to come. You may just like conversing with people while playing RuneScape. In our clan chat we treat each other like family. That's what we are! Not only can you find an exciting conversation in our clan chat, you can also get help from your clanmates! We're here to help you. Rank System
How can I get promoted?
The best way to get promoted is for you to be as helpful as possible to all clan members as well as the clan as a whole. Experience and help are the 2 keys to a promotion. Some exceptions may be taken when needed.
How can I get demoted?
If you break rules or mislead clan members this can result in a demotion. Hold your rank with pride and be as helpful as possible. Aside from that being inactive for 2 weeks or longer can result in being demoted. When you return, if you have a legit reason for your absence then your previous rank will be returned. To avoid this inform one of your elders if you're going to be inactive for more than 2 weeks.
Smile(Smiley face)
Brand new member of the clan. The newest clan members. These members are the lowest rank in the clan and have been recommended by another clan member.
Recruit(1 stripe)
After being in the clan for a while and show some promise, commitment and are helpful to your fellow clan members you will be promoted to recruit.
Recruit First Class(1 stripe)
Has been in the clan for a little while and is a helpful addition to the clan who is glad to help or do whatever they can when they want to.
Second Corporal(2 stripes)
This is the rank which the majority of clan members will hold. These members are active members who find it routine to enter the clan chat and are open to talk to other clan members. Each of these members has been in the clan for a while and can easily explain what the clan is about and has had some decent experience in the clan. These members will be able to host events and organize activities.
First Corporal(2 stripes)
A very experienced and dedicated clan member. Basically a more experienced for of 2nd Corporal and is a senior member of the clan.
Sergeant(3 stripes)
If a member shows serious commitment and shines then they will receive the rank of Sergeant, a rank which is not the easiest to get to. These members will be able to lead subclan events, which is an organization of a part of the clan without complete consensus of the clan to perform an activity. In such they have decent amount of activity. Besides this, these players know how to play runescape well. These players will know the ins and outs of skills and will be able to give lots of knowledgeable advice to other players as well as to give knowledgeable advice about the clan.
Sergeant Major(3 stripes)
An extremely helpful addition to the clan, the people at this rank have been in the clan for a long time and have been extremely beneficial. Basically a more experienced form of Sergeant.
Elders:
The ranks which follow are elder ranks, these ranks will be rarely given out as these ranks are the ranks which discuss clan change and policy as well as other duties explained in each rank.
Lieutenant(Bronze Star)
By sheer chance the member really outshines the ranks of members in the clan and has shown serious commitment to runescape playing and to the clan they can obtain the first elder rank of Lieutenant. They have to have a decently high total level in order to best help guide other players to make helpful decisions and have to know how the clan works to give helpful decisions as well. They also will discuss the future plans and directions with the consensus of the clans overall ideas and the higher ranking elders. Exceptions may be given to the idea of experience for promotion if the player can demonstrate that they are as knowledgeable as a more experienced player.
Captain(Silver Star)
This rank is held by the 2 Co-Leaders of the clan. This is a position where Experience is underlined. This is the highest elder position to be given to clan members. This position entails that these members are essentially Vice-Generals as they know enough to represent the ideals of the clan. Each of these players has a well established runescape account and can give support and advice to members of the clan. This rank works closely with the Lieutenants and the Generals to enact the best policy for the clan, taking in the consensus of the whole of the clan.
General(Gold Star)
This rank can only be given to the 2 founders of the clan and no one else. They try to enact the best policy possible for the future of the clan and reflect the ideas of the members of the clan on the policy.
Clan Rules
These rules are in place to make the clan a safer and more enjoyable place. Please abide by all of the rules in this clan and it will be a more enjoyable experience.
No Drama Policy
Nobody likes drama. That's the very reason this policy is here. "No drama" doesn't just mean starting drama, but bringing up drama from the past as well. If you don't like something and there is no way that you can fix it then talk with an elder calmly about it. If there is nothing they can do to help or don't seem to meet the standards you're looking for then your best bet is to just quit. However if you can fix this yourself, then why not do it and save everyone else the same problem you're having? A good example of fixing a problem yourself would be something like this: Let's say JimmyMcMuffin recently joined the clan, but you don't like JimmyMcMuffin. Think of a simple way you could fix this without causing drama or bothering people. Right click his name and add him to your ignore list.
Just remember that not everyone will get along with each other and not everyone will like everything that's done. Not everyone can be pleased whether we like it or not. If you have drama in your blood, then quit now.. it won't be allowed here. The first time you start, bring up, ect. drama you'll be warned or removed from clan depending on the severity. The second time you'll be removed no matter what. Just remember to be nice and have fun!
1) This rule just states to respect and be friendly to your clan mates and avoid starting problems. Here is a rundown of what this includes. Do not discuss religion or politics! Both of these subjects usually result in a flame war and someone always gets offended. If you have to discuss this with someone, keep it in pm please. Do not bring it in our clan chat or on our forums. Do not insult any of your fellow clanmates. It's ok to joke around. Most people know who will and will not get offended before they make a comment. If you're unsure whether the person will get offended or not, then don't say it. There's no reason to take the chance. Let them open the door if you know what I mean. Do not Spam. This is in the forums and in the clan chat.
2) This rule states that any rank given to any clan member is well deserved and does not need to be questioned, this includes asking for ranks. Do not ever ask for a rank. Doing so will make your current rank permanent. If we feel you're deserving of one, we'll give you one. Do not question your rank or any ranks given to another clan member. Any member given a rank deserved it.
3) This rule states the importance of helping your clan mates and avoiding putting any of them in a harmful or bad position. Help out anyone whenever possible. You don't have to drop everything to do this, but if you see a fellow clanmate in need of help it won't hurt to assist them. Do not report your fellow clan mates to Jagex for offensive language. Please speak with an elder and see if things can get cleared up that way first.
