Almost 300 goodwill messages destined for the nearest planet likely to support life outside our solar system were posted within the first hour of website www.HelloFromEarth.net going live this morning.
-
There were a few tongue-in-cheek: “Hello, Could you send Elvis back please? My mother is still really upset he went home”; “How is it that you understand English? That's very convenient!” and “Where is Neighbours up to there?”.
-
Messages sent this week will arrive in the vicinity of planet Gliese 581d – which is eight times the size of Earth and about 20 light years away (194 trillion kilometres) — around December 2029.

"Balls balls balls balls balls balls balls balls BALLS OF STEEL."
I am me and only me
What's the point of this? Why not send something useful like tools or pictures?

What are they talking about, 'most likely to support life.' I'm sorry, but what planet would that be exactly? As of yet we have no evidence whatsoever that a known planet outside of our solar system harbours life.

What a waste of time.

All of them.

Edit:

"Hello from us. Hey, have you heard of Jesus?

Clearly, she is trying to destroy their society before they get to us. :|. What a douche.

Just be careful what biological information you send.

If anything, send them information on cars and see what they could tell us.

I would of sent him a banana and bacon and peanut butter sandwich just because Elvis likes banana and bacon and peanut butter sandwiches. I mean who wouldn't?
