Lol, I just got linked to this virus webpage. The normal yobbo who isn't computer-literate would easily fall for this, so you have to be careful. I'm posting this to A)Warn you [though I'll bet you all know anyway] and B)Have a laugh at it.

Warning: When you click this link, however it is programed will switch windows and unminimise your browser and run a supposed "Virus Check" of your computer. You just need to close the windows that pop up, and say "OK" when asked "Do you want to navigate away from this page?"

When the so-called "scan" detects various critical viruses on your harddrive(s), a window will 'pop up' asking you if you want to secure your computer. If you click it, you will be prompted to download a setup file to 'save your computer.' Just make surre Not to download the file it pretends will save your computer. Its a goddamned virus.

Check it out:

Spoiler - click link at own risk:

Note that My Computer never, ever looks like this:

EDIT: I was editing this to make it easier to read and Firefox effed up. Gonna re-edit it when I cbf.
spiahedit: put the link in the spoiler, and made it clear that it's not out fault for infections etc.

I laughed when it told me I was running IE7.

I'm half tempted to infect myself just to see what it is but I've too much to do right now. Probably just yet another script kiddy putting a keylogger in to try and nab CC details.

But yeah, there are far too many sites like this around to post warnings about every one.
Otter
Why'd you put the link R U TRYIN 2 INFECT MEH?
Saebjorn
Otter has a point. I used the links so much to save the pictures that Avira found a trojan in a subsubsubfolder in Firefox. DX
I am me and only me
I've seen a few of those to browsing for...

But yeah, ctrl+alt+delete is your friend.
Bliz
Thanks alot, who knows, I could have fell for it some day.

Can you tell me about the other sites too?
Saebjorn
No, because I've never seen them.

I lol'd when a website like this showed many critical viruses infeced my C drive on a WINDOWS XP My Computer when I'm running Vista. smile.gif
Kev
It didn't let me load the page because my virus scanner detected a trojan.
But yeah I've seen sites like this, in XP format when I'm running Vista. These people are getting a bit smarter. Thanks for the warning.

You must have a better antivirus than me. Mine waited until it was in a firefox folder before finding out.

I could give a whole list of Porifera sites with viruses. Want those?
