Hey guys,

I want to add something of a Clan history to our reports/guides section - or an entireally new area depending on how well done it is.

Basically I want a way of describing the top 3 clans throughout the entire time period of Rs2. There is a lot of room for creativity as I do not have a specific 'template' in mind for how this should be done, although there are some key requirements that I would like to have met in order to make this worth while to add to the site.

-A dated chronological list of how the clans shifted in ranking is required - this alone would provide enough information to add to our reports section.

-A description of key wars and events that caused the shifts in ranking would be useful. These descriptions would most likely be linked too the dates or clan names, depending on how much information winds up being gathered.

-A creative narrative done either from a 3rd person observers point of view, or done from the prospective of one of the clans would be interesting to have. The narrative would describe how the balance's in power occurred in a more story type of way, this is something I would expect the writer(s) too have fun with and would be meant as an enjoyable/humorous thing to read that manages to stay true to actual events that happened within the clan world.

Because of the amount of research/time that would be required to complete each individual part - I would expect multiple people to work on this. This idea came too me about 2 minutes before I began writting this, so any suggestions can be discussed here as well.

I'm pretty active in the Clan World of 08-09. Have friends in some clan most likely will join one when I meet 110 cb.

I'm pretty shady on old school RS2 Clanning. All I know is that Dark Slayers(DS) and Damage Inc(DI) were the top 2 clans fighting for #1 with DS finally taking it. DS closed leaving DI at the top. Other clans were formed like Divine Forces[(DF) I think this 07 so I'm not to sure].

Time skip a year or so...

The up and rising clan Divine Forces is currently a top 10 clan making it's way to #1. Pulling 70+ people to each of their wars the time for DI and DF was inevitable [insert key battle moment which I don't have]. DF taking DI's place at the top, DI slowly moved towards P2P which they now rule as kings.-[Kinda blurry info afterward so let's skip to about December 09]-

At this time, DF was clearly ruling the F2P clan world, but other clans like Violent Resolution and Eternal Honor were hot on their trail. Other big clans like The Titans and Corruption were in a slump of low activity due to what is believed to be school >.> ... Anyway, In February 09 (I think, most of this is coming from memory) Damage Inc have come back to take their throne in one of the most massive fights in F2P history[insert key battle moment]. DF ending this massive fight in a very close win retaining their throne. Soon after, VR decided to take a shot but was utterly massacred and forced to end their attempt.

This was where Eternal Honor steps in. This was was anticipated for a long time. Eternal Honor being an equally as impressive clan as DF and hoping to steal their throne.[insert more key battle info] After a long fight, DF managed to fight off yet another contender for the throne.

Summer 09

At this time, many clans have had their activity rise due to Summer. So even though DF were thought to be #1, it seems to be more of a cluster of clans who have the potential to be #1. And DI has not returned to the F2P world for a while while staying in P2P.

I'm probobaly missing a lot such as BK vs Gladz massive war, but this is all I could remember. Nice idea though Matt! I'll be sure to add what I can.

unfortunately i dont know enough to post about the Pixel Pirates, Damage Incorporated or Tainted Ones, but those are my top 3.

I'm pretty sure Pixel Pirates were a team of Green Drag Pkers, most of their kills occurring in single. and Tainted Ones a clan who abused glitches not necessarily a warring clan.

Wasn't The a top clan at one time? I'm pretty sure they were one of the top clans in RS and were very popular. If someone knows anything about them, I think it would be interesting to read about them.

Tainted ones was more of a RuneCrypt for bug abusers, not insinuating any affiliation between the two. It wasn't a clan, or an organised group. It was just a bunch of like minded individuals posting stories, planning and scheming.

I'd say we they were pretty organised. Of course it started off as like minded individuals drawn together by Sky.

I know it wasn't a clan that was my whole point lol the other guy said it was.

Ohlawd. There've been a lot of big clans. And then too many criteria, do you go by average combat levels or war results - because then you're losing skillers and just really big clans (I remember Double Vision used to be massive, may still be).

But the big warring clans for the past few years were DS, DI, TRWF, THE, Gladz. But years ago there were others like RSD who were mad-good but never warred. And this is of course also discounting all the good pure clans like MM and whatnot.

Short story? Basically impossible to actually do a ranking without a lot of argument from a lot of different people.

Of course, I still want my super league plan to come to fruition. If some people would ever hurry up and finish Shamrock...

I suppose my intention on making this was too rank Warning clans - since their progression and ranking is more straightforward and interesting.
