I'm thinking of killing Black Dragons for my attempt of getting a Visage, and my question is this:
Is Melee effective in killing Black Dragons? What should I fill my inventory with and what's the tactic to use to kill Black Dragons.

Just asking for opinions and how long it would probably take to get a first Visage. My Hit Points is 82, Attack 86, Strength 77, Defence 77, Range 67, Mage 66, Prayer 50.

i got my visage at iron dragons ==) but you need to range them if you dont wanna spent 23m on prayer pots. so train your ranged

Level 67 Range isn't effective at all with Iron Dragons, right?

The drop is random, you could get it on your second dragon, or your 2,000th dragon there's no real prediction.

If you decide on Iron Dragons use Magic.

That still requires prayer potions

Range them with broad bolts. Cheap, hits decent, use range pots void range, dfs(for when you pick up bones and hides, make some money even without visage) and a few food, jut incase a dragon smacks you around.

i can do without.

I doubt you can... you will take damage if you don't.

What kind of melee weapon should I use if I were to fight Bronze Dragons? And what would the attack-style be?

You could always buy a dragon halberd or whatever and melee them from safespots in either taverly dungeon or the Evil chicken lair. Probably worth taking a dfire shield for the inevitable run out of safe spot to attack them still though.

As for bronze dragons, just take super sets and a whip with your best armour and dfire shield + pots. And any style works against them, they've not got amazing defence.

I have gottan 2 visages so far and both have been off black drags my first was erm lvl67 i think and still had red dhide on and was at tavely dungeon before trade came in and my second was at evil chicken lair during slayer task so blacks are good to me anyways. I've been to steels and irons so many times for slayer tasks and have never got anything good unless u call d legs and skirts good haha but the cash u spend on anti fire pots or pray pots isn't worth going there to try for a visage. Black drags u have safe spots and chicken lair is close and fast to bank for the hides and bones so u actually make cash alot with hides and bones + not having to use pray/antifire pots gl on your journey for a visage and plz do post if u have gotten 1

People like you make me raeg. There is nothing I can stand less than people not having the levels to do something properly and holding up those who can. I know everyone's a newb at some point and your levels gave at least improved a little, but some things are just not kosher.
