Discuss film's you've recently watched in here. Talk about shit you enjoyed, or shit that isn't worth the money.

Last movie I watched. Tarantino's style definitely get's to some people. I thought it was a good movie, sometimes sidetracked by the random bullshit the girl's talk about. (although it is a chick flick for the most part)
The ending was pleasing/not pleasing at the same time, left me sort of mellow. But if you like grindhouse styled horror/action, this is it.

Yay for mainstream films. I rather enjoyed it though, it's about what you expect from a Jim Carrey movie. Rather long IMO, but it wasn't boring (apart from the emo scenes).

Actually just watched The Green Mile for like, the billionth time. I love watching movies with Tom Hanks in it like Forrest Gump, Castaway, and my all time favorite movie, Saving Private Ryan.
My most recent movie to watch was that animated cartoon Ponyo by the amazing Hayao Miyazaki. I know this movie was more aimed towards kids, but I liked it. It's amazing to know that he went back to his roots and hand drew every freaking detail and panel and scene and all that good stuff; no computer help was involved whatsoever. Everything you see in the movie is purely hand drawn and that's what made it amazing.
But the movie that I want to see now is District 9. Friends have told me it's amazing and one of the best movies this year. I can't wait to go watch it when I have the time.

I haven't seen District 9 but I will say Inglourious Basterds was an excellent movie. I really liked it, despite all the harsh blows it's taken from the critics. Yes, it is a rather lengthy movie (about 2 and a half hours) but I enjoyed all of it.

The whole Jewish revenge genre? Yeah it's getting as old. But I liked Tarantino's fresh take on it.
Inglorious Basterds was good fun, but District 9 is just better overall in my opinion.

One of the first comedies I've actually enjoyed for quite a few years. There were some trucking hilarious bits. And some just funny bits. And some nice tits.

First Rob Zombie film I've watched. I haven't seen House of 1000 Corpses (Prequel), but from what I've read it looks like this has more story to it whereas the other is all horror action. This was strangely funny.

Saw Halloween II on Friday night, and god was it just Phoronidaing awful. One thing that really bugged me was that they changed his mask and now he's wearing a rain jacket for some reason. On top of that half the movie isn't even intended to be scary, it's just the characters going about their day to day activities. The other thing is the previews almost give the movie away, basically everything you see in the previews is whats supposed to be scary. I say save your money.

Mundane plot and so full of references to death that it all becames a bore. The ending happens so fast that it doesn't take effect and you are left feeling as if the last hour and twenty minutes have been a waste. Despite all this, the 3D is used to good effect, and several of the deaths are particularly entertaining, although it seems as if half the writing cost must have been focused on these scenes then the entire plot itself.
Kyran, I could've told you that and saved you wasting time and money seeing it.
What you've described is every Final Destination film.

Ha, it wouldn't of mattered anyway - I was with friends, and that was the only the film they wanted to see anyway

Actually quite good. A high octane, fast paced and funny film. Plot isn't that bad for a sequel and on the whole, entertaining and followable. I would recommend it.
