So, I haven't seen a topic on this yet. Has anyone else hard of it? I got invited to play the beta so that is what I'm currently doing. The game is pretty fun.
i think i might of heard of the game if it is the one were it could hold around 235 players per game what i think is really awesome and what xbox should do with one of there game but the only pain in the butt would be if one player lags the game it just screws up the whole game and if one of those annoying kids who is just annoyingover the mic

256 multiplayer? Sold. The developers would need to severely Phoronida this up in order for the game to be bad.

I still don't know why it's suddenly possible to have up to 256 players in one online match smoothly when most games only had a max of up to 16 players.

Well Resistance 2 on the PS3 has 60 players with no lag whatsoever.
Also, I think the reason we haven't seen this type of number before isn't due to hardware constraints but more down to developers not finding a way that would allow for a fair and balanced playing field. Or that's what I think I remember reading, ha.

I know it said something about the PS3s processor making this possible - and dedicated servers help, too.
(I was hoping for a better video but this was the only one.)
This is the current game mode I've been paying most - Sabotage. I find it really fun. (There are currently only two modes unlocked in beta atm.) This video looks like the guy is playing as Valor - I'm Raven (I will probably do Valor after I reach level 40 in Raven).
This map is 64 players (32vs32). You secure A and B (satellite uplinks) and once they're both secured, you move onto C (the data center). You get to start parachuting from a plane when you advance towards C.
The other game mode that is currently nlocked is Acquisition. This is a 128 player (64vs64) map. I haven't played it much (just a couple times). There are points on the map that you attack and destroy (or defend). (I can't find a video atm.)
Once you reach level 15, you can apply as a Squad Leader when you queue up for a game. I haven't done this yet, but I believe you get leadership points for giving objectives and having them being completed by your squad. )I don't know what these points are for). You also get extra experience for completing objectives sent out by your Squad Leader. There's also Platoon leaders which I don't know much about yet.
[more to come sometime]
Here's two quick pictures I took of the maps when I entered an Acquisition game. (Bad quality - I know.)

Do you have to walk alot? It would be a pain in the ass if you spend a long time walking towarss the enemy and get killed right away only to do the same thing again. Can you choose where to spawn, (if you've captured an area you can choose to spawn there) or are there alot of vehicles to travel faster?
Looks like a very nice game

I believe there's at least two points that you can choose to respawn at and you can unlock more. In Sabotage, you can choose to respawn closer to A or B. When you capture them both and unlock C, you drop from a parachute closer to C. (You can almost always sprint, too. You take like one second of breathing after you stop and then you can run again.)
I'm not sure about the other modes yet. I have seen vehicles in Acquisition and other spawn points. I'll try to play that more later to see.

Nice work Cloud, were there no NDA's in the beta? I remember being threatened to be kicked out of the Killzone 2 beta if I said a thing to anyone.
The maps look great in 3D, makes planning a strategy ever more realistic.
Ranking system looks really good too.

Looks great. Somehow it looks like a mix of BattleField 2142 and Call of Duty 4.
