QUOTE
For patients at Beijing's Youth Psychology Development Centre, the day begins with the loud blast of a whistle at about 0600. They roll out of bed and quickly change into military fatigues before lining up in the corridor, ready to start the day's activities. The mostly male youngsters at this centre all have the same problem - they are addicted to the internet.

Oh wow. Somewhere in the article, the head of one of the boot camsp describes addicted as "being on 6 hours a day and showing little interest in school". Well, are you?

Protip : If you get more than five hours you are addicted. Get off the pc, you sad Phoronida. You are a failure at life.

Also, if we don't see Bloodthir for a few years, we know what happened.
Jalen

Benjy

Rob
0-2.

12-13 hours a day including 8 hours at work. cool.gif
Only if I don't go out at night though... then it's like 8-9 hours if I went out.

This article is stupid imo. The way doctors see it is everyone has a problem these days and needs a "cure" so they are quick to make the patient to think they are sick so they get filled with prescription medication. Then they need more meds to take care of the side effects from the first set of pills they are taking and it's a long destructive chain. It's money in their pockets and it's ruining the youth. The whole article down talks the kids in the boot camp and they get locked up like criminals because the kids have a hobby that the parents can't relate to.

Because it's China.
Rob
In Communist China, boot camps means that it's small children making shoes.
Tao
2 - 3 hours.

Usually, I finish homework during lunch. Unless i'm studying, I'm usually on myspace, GMOD, CSS, or TF2
kol
Usually four hours, though it usually can last up to 10 hours due to Photoshop, looking around for stocks ect.

Otherwise you know, I like to melt out here in 114 degree weather, so I just morph into my pool and get under swimsuits, and sucked into filtering systems.

Worst case scenario, I go out with 'people' who deem me a friend, and melt with them, unless were in an a/c'ed car, which usually isn't the case.

Don't get me started on homework, Senior year is bad? When I'm in College, I'll be virtually tearing open a window in the Earth's atmosphere with all the work I'll be burning, and that'll take more time to kill the flame than it will have to start it. Then again I can just let it burn...

Yup, from how it's looking I'll be virtually on all day pretty soon...

1-2 hours on a school day. I'm just too busy to be on more.

My mom seems to think i'm on the computer too much, and I kindly remind her about the national Geographic article on the bootcamp. The kids who go there are the kind who literally assault their parents if they try to get them off the computer. Compared to those kids, i'm really, really good.
Maarten
I have no idea how many exactly, but definitely more than five. It differs per day, but the fact that I'm studying computer science probably has something to do with it. We spend all day doing stuff on our computers at school. It's impossible to do without, so that pretty much forces me to use my computer a lot.
