Without trying to sound too cocky, I just received my SAT scores a few days ago and I must say I'm rather happy with them (I was hoping for better but oh well). This was my second SAT, although I increased my overall score by 200. Anyways, my new scores are below:
Critical Reading: 690
Mathematics: 800
Writing: 640
Cumulative: 2130
I was kind of hoping for 2200 but I only cared about improving the math section, and I'd say I did that ;D Should be able to relax a little bit now as far as college admission goes.

Critical Reading and Writing are easy though. This is fact.

I'm not sure how I would do on it today. Whatever, the SAT has been the least of my high school worries recently.

I hate you. My score was a 1510. I guess I deserved that since I took the test blind and had no clue what was in it so I never studied due to laziness.
Congrats man, that is a beastly score I must say.

I took the SSAT last year, I can't remember the actual number scores (probably have them written down somewhere)... But the national percentiles were:
Crit Reading: 89%
Math: 99%
Writing: 91%

Very nice

I never really enjoyed the critical reading section; a lot of it feels like conjecture. I did fairly well on the non-essay portions of the writing section but I can never do timed essays in that format very well. It takes me a while to think of something to write when the topic is so opinion-based.

what do you want to go into?
Dont they have like the 2nd best school in the nation for aerospace engineering?

I'm planning to major in Computer Science as of right now. I'm not sure about the statistics, but the entire engineering program is ranked 4th or so (probably behind MIT and ?) and I think all but one of the individual areas are in the top 5 of that specific area (and I think aerospace is 2nd, yea). It's also ranked the #7 public university in the nation. I don't have any statistics for the computer science program, but they have a pretty nifty system going on. Instead of a set computer science degree, there are 8 "threads" (e.g. Intelligence, Theory, Devices, etc.). Any 2 threads make a BS in CS, so there are technically 28 different degrees I could go for.

I got my scores back too.
Math: 800
Reading: 740
Writing: 700
I got a 7 on the essay, which is lower than the 8 I got in 7th grade. O.o
I guess I actually have to learn to write SAT essays before applications next year.
